COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Black ale with aromas and flavours of vanilla, dark chocolate, bourbon and roasted malt. The vanilla and cocoa marry nicely, without out-competing each other, to produce a surprisingly well balanced beer. This beer is mildly hoppy, but the cocoa introduces a touch of bitterness. Its colour may be intimidating, but it is a very smooth beer within reach of most beer drinkers. This highly appreciated dessert beer is brewed with organic fair-trade cocoa and first rate vanilla beans.

Bottle. Pours a glossy obsidian black with cocoa-brown highlights and a cinnamon-colored ring. Nose is baking chocolate, butter, coffee, vanilla, smoke, molasses, maple -- there is a LOT going on here, and it all goes together in one big happy morass of beery happiness; I just wish there was more of it. Not as sweet as the nose would portend; rich, smoky, bitter, and astonishingly complex -- yet remains somewhat subtle, never stepping into the imperial range or becoming excessive. The finish goes on and on, and continues to reveal as time goes by. Breathtaking.

Fiche technique : Style: Stout Format: 341 ml Taux d’alcool : 6,5%

This was a really great stout. Taste like you are drinking a luxurious dessert. Taste of vanilla, cocoa, and coffee. Aftertaste is bittersweet, with a bitter coffee chocolate mouth feel and then finishes off with a nice thick sweetness. Would love to try more.

--------&# As a black beer fan, L’Aphrodisiaque is on my top ten. I like its petrol black appearance and the taste is amazing. You can taste a chocolate aroma and a bit coffee, it’s sweeter than a basic stout. Strongly recommended in digestive with chocolate!!!
