4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a really dark brown with a brown head that doesnít offer a too good retention but still leaves some lacing. Aroma is really nice with vanilla at the front but also some bitter chocolate and roasted malt. Taste is sweet but less than the nose would suggest with a light bitterness. Flavors of dark chocolate mostly. Mouthfeel is smooth and carbonation medium. A really nice local product!

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
On draught at apex - pours pitch black with small lingering tan head. Nose of smoke, vanilla, and coffee. Taste is complex blend of vanilla, coffee, and toasted malt. Perfect on a cold winter night.

On draught at Apex. Opaque black with thin tan head. Aroma is vanilla bean ice cream, cocoa, roasting, and sweetness. Taste is dark chocolate syrup, vanilla bean, roasted malt, and a hint of bitterness. Light mouthfeel and a pleasing aftertaste that lingers.

4.9 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
Keg at Brewdog Birmingham. Might just be the best beer Iíve ever tried. Certainly the best Stout. Wowee - flavour packed from first sniff until 5 minutes after the swig. This tantalised my nose shooter and tongue lung threshold equally. Mega blinding.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
black, tan head. Roasty vanilla, coffee, chocolate. Just as described. Smoke enters this a bit. Donít get the hops. Light sweetness and bitterness, slick, oily on the palate. Medium to full palate, oily, a touch sticky, but not bad. Carbonation is in line. Some bitterness, long finish rotating the profile of the beer. Not bad.

Pours a deep dark black color with tan head. Roasty, chocolatey, sweet, dark, rich aroma. Coffe roast, sweet chocolate, almost a lactose character, chewy, medium full body.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Dark leathery black. Swirly brown head. More leathery cooking choc dusted nose. Silky smooth initial taste, brown rice and milky coffee. I really donít know what else to add, itís smooth and crisp and supremely put together. Iím not getting blown away by the flavours apart from the moreishness cooking choc vibe. Finish isnít bitter, oily or cloying. Just easy going, sleek and delicious.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Decent beer. Pours jet black with a small tan head that disappears quickly. Smells of vanilla and chocolate. Taste more like an ale than a stout. Pretty thin but you can tell its only 6.5. Goes down smooth with vanilla at the end. Not bad but peche mortel destroys this.
