The pour is pitch black with plenty of with a fizzy brown head. Hmm, I smell graham crackers, some cocoa powder, and of course vanilla. I don’t find the flavor to be anything special. Its roasty like any other stout, with some vanilla. Light body and a dry finish, which I didn’t expect. I figured the vanilla sweetness would linger. Still, I don’t find this beer to be special. daknole (2926), Plantation, Florida, USA

Glouglouburb sent me this bottle and I am soooo stoked to be getting more. Pours a nice black color with a big brown head. Aroma is chocolate, vanilla and hints of coffee. Flavor...well it tastes like a dark chocolate smore with a nice bitter dark chocolate/coffee finish. Simply a beautiful beer. I can only imagine how great it must be on tap. | 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jul 30, 2009 This beer has an amazing aroma: pure dark chocolate with vanilla highlights. Smells like it might be sweet but the flavor is pleasantly dry, like a liquid gourmet 85% cocoa bar. Finish is an almost granular cocoa sensation. This is superb. Vanilla lead to a bitter coffee finish. The aroma of this beer is awesome. Been waiting for this beer for along time. ryan (1775), Beltsville, Maryland, USA

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jul 21, 2009 Bottle from a 6 pack courtesy of Jadoreblanche. A deep motor oil pour with a gorgeous billowing froth of mocha head. Excellent lace. Nose is a blast of vanilla and dark chocolate, with roast malts and cocoa nibs. The flavour is great. Lots of dark chocolate with an upfront vanilla profile that really works well with the chocolate aspect. A bit of coffee with roasted malts and some cafe mocha. Creamy and very drinkable. Medium body is missing a little something mid palate, but only a minor detraction to this wonderful stout. Thankfully we have 5 more. blankboy (3204), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Finally I get to have this legendary beer! Pours a beautiful cascading brown-black with a large lasting creamy tan head and nice lacing -- looks perfect. Aroma’s a bit mild but lovely: Lightly roasted malt, vanilla and milk chocolate. Delicious flavour of roasted malt, coffee, vanilla and cream. Nice bitter finish. Medium bodied, creamy mouthfeel. As good as I expected, an amazing Stout!
