| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 17, 2009 Bottle pours black with thin tan head that whisps away immidiately. Aroma is vanilla bean and semi sweet cocoa. Mouthfeel is a bit thin. Flavors are vanilla and cocoa dominating. Its a pretty solid beer. I thought there would be more depth to this as it seems 2 dimensional. Still a pleasure to drink. drewbeerme (2274), Chicago, Illinois, USA

Pours a solid black, touches of dark brown around the edges, small, thick chocolate brown head. Aroma is subdued touches of sweet chocolate, plum and licorice. Flavor profile is more of the same, but a little more pronounced chocolate, some roast notes and vanilla shows up at the finish. Really well done. halfonit (453), Fall River, Massachusetts, USA
