3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours jet black with not much in the way of a head.
Really strong roasted coffee aroma, dark chocolate and stone fruits, like plum.
Velvety smooth, chocolate milk like. The flavour is not as aggressive as the aroma. Sweet milk chocolate, vanilla, whiskey and a little lightly toast bread.
A little hop bitterness helps finish off a mostly thick rich sweet stout. Leaves a nice chocolatey, liquor like finish.

C est pas mon truc je trouve que les saveurs de vanille et de café font presque chimique ... C est très crémeux et les saveurs de bières sont très masqués par une espèce de frappuccino ...

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Black with a thin tan head. Aroma is chocolate with a hint of vanilla and roasted barley. Vanilla drops out of the taste for the most part and adds a surprisingly boozy finish for the ABV. Palate is a little thin for the style. Very tasty without being overly sweet but I was looking for more body.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours black with a touch of brown head that receded quickly to the edge of the glass. Aroma is roasted malt, dark chocolate and vanilla. Very smooth with flavors much like the nose. Very strong dark chocolate. Alcohol starts to show a little as it warms.

4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
11.5oz bottle. Aggressive pour, dark rich brown/black into tulip glass, large 2 finger head slow to fade. Nose is chocolate, vanilla, nutty, campfire notes. Mouthfeel is super smooth, light, airy. Carbonation is not too much or too little. Taste is mocha, vanilla, roasty, chocolate milk, cocoa, nesquik, heathbar, tobacco, latte, kit kat. Superb. Finish is waves of understated cocoa and vanilla notes dancing across the palate. This is a masterpiece. In the elite of stouts.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Black w/ dark tan head. Chocolate/roasted malt aroma. Can taste some hoppy bitterness to go with vanilla sweetness. Medium body. A little underwhelming - was hoping for more flavor and complexity, but not bad.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
14oz pint from Bar Hop in Toronto. Pours a pitch black colour with a lasting creamy head. Taste of smooth, smooth vanilla going down. After taste was only slightly sour, which is my only real gripe about this beer, but it is minor. Hints of vanilla and chocolate with slight hints of coffee. Almost no taste of alcohol or booziness. A great beer.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Deep, thick, dark brown appearance. Minimal head.
Vanilla comes through strong on the smell, toasted malts balance it nicely.
Sweet at the front of the mouth. The vanilla gives way to chocolate tones and then string, burned malt.
Medium body, average carbonation, nicely smooth.
Very pleasant late night stout overall - a favourite!
