COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Black ale with aromas and flavours of vanilla, dark chocolate, bourbon and roasted malt. The vanilla and cocoa marry nicely, without out-competing each other, to produce a surprisingly well balanced beer. This beer is mildly hoppy, but the cocoa introduces a touch of bitterness. Its colour may be intimidating, but it is a very smooth beer within reach of most beer drinkers. This highly appreciated dessert beer is brewed with organic fair-trade cocoa and first rate vanilla beans.

Oh my god, oh my god. Amazing cocoa vanilla nose. Nice thick body for a 6.5% stout. So complex. French Canadians nailed this. It almost makes up for Celine Dion.

Keg, Brewdog Leicester. Very dark with a beige head. Rich coffee with dark toffee and dark chocolate. Creamy lactose and oats with oak barrel. Hints of bonfire smokiness. Dry on the finish. Very good.

Tap at... forgot where in Toronto. Near black with tan head, exceptional retention and lacing. The nose... ooh, not at all the fulsome mawkish aroma I was expecting, it’s instead really roasty, really chocolaty (in a subtle, bitter chocolate kind of way). Extremely full, yet not ovely sweet. Spicy (ryeish) character coupled with cocoa and chocolate sweetness. Not much of vanilla. The spiciness gets kinda hot even. So soft, smooth, velvety. Great stuff!

This Quebec Stout is the perfection of a stout. It as a distant smell of cocoa and burnt malt. The taste explode in a twist of vanila and roasted malt. Drink this any day at any time! Cheers!

12 oz bottle shared get Gus. The pour is a nice light black with a thin ring of lighter khaki head and no lace. The aroma is a little disappointing. There is a lot of roasted malt and a light cocoa. Not a whole else. It's rather disappointing. The flavor is a little better. There is a heavier malt presence and a good light vanilla. It's pretty basic with the cocoa and malts. The mouth feel is decently thick and carbonated. There is a bitter finish to it and it's just not what I was hoping to taste ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap at barhop, part of a 3-beer blind tasting. Think small bubbled brown head. Slightly transparent but very dark. The aroma is like chocolate milk, slightly too sweet. The taste is very chocolatey. The finish is nice And burnt.

Very perfect head and black body in a glass. Sweet coffee aroma with barley hints and wood. Flavour is Starbucks style frappucino with sweet notes and a chocolatey finish. Very good drinkable stout.
