Black ale with aromas and flavours of vanilla, dark chocolate, bourbon and roasted malt. The vanilla and cocoa marry nicely, without out-competing each other, to produce a surprisingly well balanced beer. This beer is mildly hoppy, but the cocoa introduces a touch of bitterness. Its colour may be intimidating, but it is a very smooth beer within reach of most beer drinkers. This highly appreciated dessert beer is brewed with organic fair-trade cocoa and first rate vanilla beans.

Dark dark opaque brown pour with pretty much no head.. Dark chocolate and vanilla with some obvious roastiness in aroma. Flavors are similar - chocolate and some vanilla and roasty. A bit more boozy than I’d like.

Bottle thanks to Bursprak. Pours a deep, dark brown with a small, tan head. Aroma has lots of coffee, roasted malts, vanilla, dark chocolate, slight ashy. Taste is very roasted without being super bitter. Dry, vanilla, coffee. Slightly ashy finish. Average high carbonation and a medium body.

Delicious. Vanilla, chocolate and roasted malts dance in your mouth.Very smooth and beautifully balanced. Cocoa compliments by hops, not too much of anything. YUM YUM!

The smell is amazing, like vanilla cereal. Taste is sweet and full. Carbonation is light, but there. Lots of vanilla and light caramel. Bottle

Fantastic Stout with an extra-ordinary aroma. Its so nice when you feel it in your mouth. So balanced and soft. It is aristrocratic beer.

Aroma is roasted malt, vanilla, slight smoke, cocoa. Appearance is black, light brown head, poured thick. Taste is deep roasted malt, subtle vanilla and chocolate, slightly thin. Mouthfeel is good carbonation and medium body. Overall, this is tasty but the chocolate and vanilla are not as prevalent as I’d like.

Pours pitch black, frothy brown head. Aroma of dark chocolate, vanilla, black coffee, oak. Taste is bittersweet, more notes of dark chocolate and roasted coffee. Medium body, creamy, slightly oily texture. Average carbonation. Long, slightly bitter, dark chocolate finish. Superb.
