COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Black ale with aromas and flavours of vanilla, dark chocolate, bourbon and roasted malt. The vanilla and cocoa marry nicely, without out-competing each other, to produce a surprisingly well balanced beer. This beer is mildly hoppy, but the cocoa introduces a touch of bitterness. Its colour may be intimidating, but it is a very smooth beer within reach of most beer drinkers. This highly appreciated dessert beer is brewed with organic fair-trade cocoa and first rate vanilla beans.

Strong aromas of vanilla and chocolate covered cherries. Flat looking appearance, not much of a head. Flavors of vanilla, coffee, chocolate, tobacco and dries cherries. Dry mouth feel, fairly light in body.

Pours black with thick tan head that settles into a white film for the duration of consumption. Great aromas of vanilla, hershey milk chocolate with almonds bar, booze, and wood. Nutty, chocolatey flavours. Coconut too. Dark, bitter chocolate finish. Awesome.

Black bodied and small tan head. Toffee, caramel malts, light forest hops, sweet brown sugar. Decent body, full enough, light alcoholic. Light fruity start yet more bitter finish. Good developed body, nice complexity. Drinks very well, never boring. Sweet yet tasty and never sticky. Good brew, highly quality. (12oz bottle from Bière Cultes)

A highly appreciated dessert beer indeed, sipped as my coworker abandoned half a slice of so-so cheesecake. Vanilla and chocolate with a bourbon kick making it taste more of alcohol than it is.

Overall a good stout. The malt is a tad overpowering but I will definitely be buying this again.

Pours thick and black with a thin tan head. The nose is vanilla, chocolate, roasted coffee, peaches and cherries. Taste is high sweet but has a nice medium bitter backbone to keep it in check. Finish is mostly sweet with a little bitter. The texture is silk smooth, body is heavy a d finish is long. Delish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

341ml bottle. Pours black as oil though not as viscous. Head is small, more of a ring of bubbles the color of dark mocha. Aroma is exquisite. Loads of cocoa and cocoa-rich chocolate, not of the bitter kind, but sweet. Vanilla is very strong as well. Later on turns more regular chocolate, cocoa, semi-sweet with loads of vanilla. Light liquorice, roast and dark fruitiness. Unfortunately the taste doesn’t compare as much. It is quite dry with loads of vanilla, quite roasty with coffee and chocolate. Could be a tad sweeter and fuller, the flavor. Now the body is a bit thin perhaps. Would love to try cooking with this though.
