COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Black ale with aromas and flavours of vanilla, dark chocolate, bourbon and roasted malt. The vanilla and cocoa marry nicely, without out-competing each other, to produce a surprisingly well balanced beer. This beer is mildly hoppy, but the cocoa introduces a touch of bitterness. Its colour may be intimidating, but it is a very smooth beer within reach of most beer drinkers. This highly appreciated dessert beer is brewed with organic fair-trade cocoa and first rate vanilla beans.

Impressive mix between sweet chocolate and vanilla. This is absolutely not too much of a sugar taste. It is creamy ’a souhait’ and extremely smooth. Very Impressive and by far my favorite.

Hahahahaha! Man, I caint believe my good luck! Nother fabulous beer. Ah musta been blest. Or, I just recognised a good beer when I saw it. In any case, this is sublime. Poured with a medium tan to light brown head that settled down to a light cover quickly and some lace. Color is absolute opaque black. Aroma is a sweet blend of melting chocolate, malt, caramel, vanilla, and pipe tobacco. Flavor is like that and lots bigger: all qualities are more prominant along with a definite smokieness. Body is very soft and carbonation just where it should be in this case. Finish is like flavor and very slowly tapers in a long finish. Ultimate after dinner beer.

somewhat aggressive pour, results in an amazing 2 finger head. The foam is agreat deep mocha color! the smell is cocoa, coffee and vanilla...amazing the taste starts off with a coffee and vanilla. some roasted malts in the back ground but the two dueling flavors or te coffee and vanilla. Almost turns in it into a latte’esc flavor. The mouthfeel is really good for only being 6.5% , silky smooth with just enough carb. For sure need to get some more of these!

UPDATED: FEB 14, 2012 6-pack from Marche Omni. Pours black with very little head. Aroma is roasty with chocolate and vanilla. Taste is smooth roasted malt with vanilla and chocolate, with a bitter dark-chocolate finish. Mild carbonation with a very smooth body. Stouts (or beer in general) don’t get much better than this!

Keg at West 50 , Missisugua, Ontario, 3rd May 2013. A fitting mile stone, wow what a beer, looks fantastic, nice white, fluffy head and dark body, aroma is complex, coffee, expresso, some vanilla. Taste is smooth and luxurious, full flavour, drinks like a dream

On tap at Brothers in Ottawa. Wow! Amazing nose on this, the most enjoyable nose i’ve ever experienced, and the flavour doesn’t disappoint either. Definitely holds it own against St. Ambroise Oatmeal and other world class stouts.

Keg at Brewdog Birmingham. Might just be the best beer I’ve ever tried. Certainly the best Stout. Wowee - flavour packed from first sniff until 5 minutes after the swig. This tantalised my nose shooter and tongue lung threshold equally. Mega blinding.

I want this to be the last beer to pass my lips before I breathe my last breath. Stunning, does exactly what the brewer was envisioning when he planned for this beer. Heavenly.

Tap. Moan and Dove Peche Mortel unveiling. To be quite honest, this beer stole the show. This beer showed up the Peche Mortel, which is not an easy feat. Gorgeous sweet sugary vanilla aroma with hints of chocolate. This thing smells amazing. Yummy. Pitch black with a long-standing light tan head. The head is much more durable than the Peche Mortel. Sweet, chocolatey, vanilla notes. Roasts are present as well. Flavor of a roasted chocolate milk with a twist of vanilla. No alcohol detected. This is extremely satisfying and perhaps the best beer I have ever experienced. Great mouthfeel, silky, and amazingly drinkable. I have trouble finding fault with this beer.
