[4449-20120607] Tap. Woody orange stem hops aroma has a kick of smoked floral wood. Hazy, brown amber body with a quick foamy off-white head. Muted citrus peel wooden hops flavour has a bitter wood aftertaste. Medium-full body. Quite a tasty bitter. (8/3+/8/4/17) 4.0

On tap at the brewpub. Bombastic hop-stinky lupulin juice nose. Wild and unabashed. Flavors hold it tight with the balance of green gold and malt sugar. Electric and enamoring. The strength of the base upholds a rich and delicate grapefruit, orange, spice and pine hop flourish. A fantastic drinkability lies beneath a quenching bitter turn. A very nice small IPA.

Dégustée en fût sur place. De couleur dorée-cuivrée et voilée. Nez de houblon citrique, herbeux, légèrement fruité (agrume, notes de mangues, traces d’abricots) et aux notes florales et résineuses, moyen de caramel aux notes rôties et terreuses avec des traces de biscuits. Moyennement ronde en bouche avec un pétillement moyen ainsi qu’une texture légèrement crémeuse. Goût moyennement amer de houblon citrique, légèrement fruité (agrume, notes de mangues, traces d’abricots) aux notes florales et résineuses (une amertume présente toute la gorgée) lors de l’entrée en bouche auquel se rajoute un goût de céréales légèrement sucrées et aux petites notes rôties avec un moyen-léger goût de caramel terreux ainsi que des notes de pain puis en finale l’amertume revient en premier plan en se faisant légèrement asséchante, un peu plus herbeuse et résineuse. Post-goût long et légèrement sec, moyennement amer de houblon herbeux aux notes florales, résineuses et citriques avec un léger goût fruitée (zeste d’agrumes). (10 mars 2013)

Very fresh juicy hop aroma, very very green. Juicy body, light carb. Big citrus finish, but the bitterness is light and pleasant. A sessionable hop heads dream. If ou like big juicy green hops. Almost herbal hops.

Amber-copper color, with a thick beige head, mild floral pineyness, grassy, coniferous hop nose with a nice citrus, lime, lemonn, tangerine rind, soft toasty, caramel, biscuity malt accent, with a hint of fruitcake in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a yeasty, light fruitiness, good flowery soapy, leafy, grassy, piney hoppy character with some subtle earthy tobacco leafiness, faint nuttiness, toasted, caramel malt flavours, with a lemom, lime, grapefruit peel, coniferous undertone, leading towards a zesty citrus peel, great leafy, grassy, piney hop bitterness finish.

Style et résumé: American Pale Ale qui porte le nom de Baraque, serait-ce un jeu de mot avec Barack Obama ?.
Comment: Un galopin sur place rue Laurier.
Description: Bière cuivrée comme il se doit avec une mousse blanche. Le nez est une bel amalgame de houblons floraux et de malt caramel. La bouche est de caramel et de houblon aussi. Il y a une amertume agréable en fin de bouche.

Un verre à Montréal. Une robe cuivrée sur laquelle flotte une petite tête mousseuse. Une large dentelle. Un nez qui permet à des aiguilles de pin et à des fleurs d’être touchées par un malt caramel qui semble bien connaître son rôle. Des saveurs qui s’expriment de la même manière. Je cherche la grande traversée des agrumes et je ne la trouve pas. En bouche, le liquide est bien construit. Dieu du Ciel ne déçoit jamais sur cet aspect. Le pétillement est bien ajusté. La texture me semble être crémeuse. La finale propulse une amertume qui réveille ma langue. Quelque chose de bien dosé.

Tap. Light to moderate malt notes of light bread and roasted, light pine, dough and sweat for the hops and yeast, with background notes of sour cherry, wood and faint dried fruit. Head is average size, rocky, with good crusty lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is clear copper red. Flavor is moderately acidic to start and finishes lightly acidic and bitter. Palate is light to medium, watery with a lively to fizzy carbonation. The aroma is a little bland and a bit off but the flavor is pretty nice in this American Pale Ale.

Light resin hop aroma with a moderate amount of malts. Cloudy orange color with a medium white head. Sweet rye beginning that quickly changes to a lasting moderate bitter finish.

On tap, as a 6.9% ipa. Darkish hazy gold pour. Earthy grassy piney hop aroma, pine needles, forest floor. A bit of caramel, malty but not overly so. Bitterness is a tad high compared to the aroma hops, slightly tongue numbing. Lively prickly carbonation. Pretty good.
