Bottle courtesy of savvy1982. Pours a hazy amber with a white head. Smells of grains of paradise, coriander, ginger, grassy, sweet citrus. Tastes of crisp wheat, pepper, spice, citrus, velvety mouthfeel. Excellent!

I will buy anything these guys make. Top of the line stuff. Belgium Wit with Farmhiouse Siason appeal. Earthy, spicy bready, soft. great use of hops. Excellent with pizza. Will satisfy Germans. Fit for kings.

Wonderful aromas and flavors redolent of florals, spices, yeast and citrus. Super complex and interesting... Great mouthfeel.. Fine, bottle conditioned carbonation.. Feeling light, while still being broad and full in the mouth. Penetrating flavors and a long finish.. Highly recommended if you feel like a spice wheat beer!!
--- tasted while on a long journey to understand the world around me...

I cannot help but LOL at anyone who reviewed this at sub-4.0. Seriously. What are these people thinking?
I’ve had this awesome beer on multiple occasions: First few times were on visits to Montreal, directly at DDC! brewpub, direct from the keg, which undoubtedly is the superior experience. However in 2010 now, in the late summer season, finally some DDC beers have made their way into Ontario LCBO locations.
Needless to say, being familiar with their beers, I raced out and stocked up on Blanche du Paradis. It does differ from the fresh draught version in the fact that the bottles actually have a much stronger, harsher astringency and the spice notes especially are WAY more pronounced here in the bottled version.
But that doesn’t mean it’s less enjoyable. Just different.
On to it.
Super spicy -- the coriander or whatever spices they use is no joke. It’s like a punch in the face. Background of vanilla, wheat, banana, citrus. A little over carbonated (just my preference) but does not diminish from the flavor, nor complexity of the beer itself. I’ve disappointedly heard users on forums compare it to other wheat beers or even hefe-weisses but I don’t see the similarity at all, personally. It’s very, very spicy, and I suppose takes an experienced beer fan to truely enjoy it.
A++ in my books, have been a fan since day one trying it at DDC! brewpub and am positively thrilled with its arrival (albeit temporarily) in Ontario.

A beautiful wheat beer...citrus off the top with a bit of citrus too. Medium body with some light bubblegum in the finish...smooth with tiny bubbles of light carbonation.

Le gout de ble est particulierement present et plaisant. Corriande et agrumes viennent agrementer le tout.
Wheat flavours are there and are pleasant. Corriander and citrus embellish very well this wit.

This beer is sweet, this beer is amazing. This beer is unique, you can taste fruits. The after taste is incredible and the texture is somewhat thick but it is amazing. This beer is worth trying !!

My Review: hazy yelllow with a white head. Excellent lacing. aroma of citrus, yeast and coriander. flavour is moderately bitter and somewhat sweet. moderate carbonation. minimal to no sediment. Finishes with a taste of indistinguishable spices. Not as Good as Hoegaarden... Perhaps it was the spices? Was good but it costs about $1 per bottle more in Ontario but simply is not as enjoyable. I’d recommend trying this one if you like Hoegaarden but would not add it to my regular rotation
