COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Blanche du Paradis is a Belgian-style Wit brewed with coriander seeds and Curaçao orange peels, the spices traditionnally found in this classic style. Unfiltered and containing almost as much raw wheat as malted barley, it presents a veil of yeast and proteins giving this style its "Blanche" name. Round and light at the same time, it exhales fresh baked bread aromas, and reveals spices and citrus flavours, accompanied by subtle notes of acidity coming from the wheat.

Murky, dirty, hazy, foggy yellow body with a fragrant white cap floating on top. Wow, wow, wow what is this heavenly sent. Sweet wheat, coriander, mandarin orange, clove and tons of yeast. Been smelling now for twenty minute and I just cant stop.......oh so good. Taste is light and crisp. So much lemon, orange peel, spice is nice and the wheat is great. Nice wheaty backbone and a great floral finish. Brew has a zing to it I can’t explain.....possibly the lemon. Fantastic wit!!!!

Pours a pale cloudy yellow colour, not as dark as expected. One finger of head that dissipated quickly, ok lacing. Has everything that you expect from a whit beer, but the spiciness I look for was well muted. Mill Street is still my #1 Canadian Wit

The beer is a hazy yellow, pretty pale, not even as dark as a banana. Puffy white head, lots of fine bubbles. Good lacing. The beer smells of rich bready grains, orange peel and coriander seed. It’s a doughy, wheaty beer, bright with grain character. Underlying musk gives it body and character. Perfect level of spicing, which accentuates the wheat flavor rather than getting in the way. Some light lemony notes. Mild floral hops. Tangerines and doughy bread. It’s all gentle and fresh. On point for the style. Feel is on the soft side. Very easy to drink. Light but round and full.

Probably better fresh, but a 4-month bottle will have to do. Soft citrus and light spice aromas. Flavour is light orange, coriander, white bread, a little yeast. A good and well-balanced Wit, but less flavourful than I had hoped.

UPDATED: JUL 28, 2014 For the record - the first Dieu du Ciel beer ever available in Steinbach, Manitoba. Cloudy lemon body with foamy, but not long lasting heading and some lacing. Sweet spicy aroma, but pretty subtle, slightly floral, citrus, orange. Taste is quite dry, much drier than most witbiers, even a slight touch of bitterness in the aftertaste. Otherwise taste is sweet wheat, biscuit. Fresh and vibrant.

Great beer. Has a beautiful nose. Rich Belgian yeast and aromatic citrus. Flavors are spicy and citrus. A great combination. Sweet and flavorful. Do these guys make anything even subpar? Not to my knowledge.

Pours straw with amber flickers and a sudsy afterthought of a head. Aroma is bread, coriander and some lemon. Standard wit territory but blended evenly. Palate is light despite ample carbonation. A little watery in the finish. Taste is more yeast, spices with light lemon refreshment. Also some earthy notes. A light soapy yeast finish

Pours hazy golden yellow with a white head. The aroma has cream, pale smooth wheat, banana, orange and heavy coriander. It has a light crisp clean body with soft carbonation and a smooth finish. The flavor starts clean and spicy with light orange, crisp wheat and lots of coriander. The finish is very dry for the style and has some phenolic spices and sulfur. Very refreshing and enjoyable.
