COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed only once a year to keep you warm during the cold winter months, the Blanche Neige (« Snow white ») isn’t your typical wheat beer. Firstly, the level of alochol is surprising and is perceived rapidly both in the bouquet and in the mouth. The spices come through immediately, giving very little room for the usual wheat beer aromas (coriander and curaçao). Cinnamon and clove dominate and the flavours are generously well-rounded thanks no doubt to residual sugars. It is therefore a very sweet beer that is best appreciated slowly.

341ml bottle. Bright golden amber color with a splash of thin white foam that vanishes quickly. Peach. Pear and plum in the aroma with a hint of clove. Full in the mouth and holds the alcohol well but there is a little alcohol taste on the palate.

Don’t notice the alcohol in this one but do notice the spices, medium body and only slightly warming, strong and spicy but very drinkable.

341mL bottle, pours a murky golden orange with a small ring of white head. Nose is full of clove and coriander, with some candied sugar and not really any hint of wheat. Flavour isn’t overly appealing, with lots of perfume and sugary notes, not much of the aforementioned spices. Feels a little flat and dull, with very light carbonation. Way too much of the perfume and sugar, killing any complexity there might have been. Not too good.

Pours a hazy honey color with a medium white head. Aroma has lots of spice...clove...and some light orange notes. Flavor is very spicy...clove and cinnamon...bitter. mouthfeel is medium/full and the finish is very spicy and dry.

Bottle 341 ml. Bought at Peluso (Montreal). Served in Trappist glass. Pours cloudy amber. Not much head and no lacing. Similar in appearance to a barley wine. Quite pleasant aroma with strong notes of cinnamon and cloves. Some hints of citrus and alcohol. Taste is really sugary with some bitterness at the end. Alcohol finish. Full bodied beer, really thick. Texture is syrupy. Overall, a very interesting beer, unique in its way.

Bottle @ only, whoa los of fresh clove and Madagascar cinnamon over a solid swet base of fruit and wheat malt. citrus follows through. Not sure why DDC made this but the clovey-ness evokes a pale weizenbock gone over the edge. Ends a bit grassy-dry with a faint sting to the palate, remains constantly sticky-sweet.

Twist top! Not much head at all. Burned umber colour. Absolutely divine smell, sweet cinnamon and clove and fruit on the nose. Absolute perfection, it could not be any better. The palate mimics the nose slightly bitter finish. It hides its alcohol well, apart from the dry finish you would never know it’s 8.3%. Thick consistency, great syrupy mouthfeel. Amazing beer, I love it.

Bottle 341ml, a clear copper amber beer with medium head. Nose is very spicy on cinnamon and anise. Aroma is malty on the caramel side, sweet, apricot notes, lot of anise and cinnamon, quite hopy with a grassy finish. Lot of clove on aftertaste, not bad but a little heavy on the spicy part.

341ml bottle. Darker colour that I was expecting, kind of a medium copper, very little head. Smell is a spiced wit, clove, cinnamon, a little citrus and wheat. Taste is spicy Christmas cookie with some orange. Body is solid but cut with some nice carbonation. Overall, lots of spice, would be a great winter beer.
