Hazy orange golden. Aroma is huge of clove and cinnamon. Nutmeg seems to be there too. A lot like mulled wine. Taste is pretty strong of clove and some banana. Pretty great winter beer. I got this in two separate trades, thanks guys!

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle - 341ml. Hazy golden body with a thin white foamy head. Nice, fresh malty/hoppy aroma with ginger, cinnamon, and coriander hints. Alcohol is well hidden. Taste is well balanced and complex. It carries coriander, citrusy, spicy, and herbal notes. Ends with a long, warming bitter/herbal finish. Very enjoyable!

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle. Hazy golden with a thick, lasting white head. Aroma is intensely spicy, clove and cinnamon (cloves will always dominate cinnamon), with underlying orange, and on the deep inhale the alcohol is definitely there. Spicy entry, again lots of clove and cinnamon, but the midpalate is supported by generous wheat, and the finish brings lighter orange and cardamom with a surprising amount of bitterness. Mouthfeel is creamy (must be the oats in here?) and leans toward heavy, but it goes down so easily! How can a wheat-based beer be heavy? This one is trying . A terrific "imperialized" witbier.

Cloudy orange pour with small off white head. Aroma of cinnamon, cloves, orange and wheat. Taste is cloves, cinnamon, malt, wheat and heavy on the orange peel. Nice carbonation and mouthfeel. Bitter finish and a little dry.

341ml brown bottle. 8.3% abv as per label, bottled 02/12. Bright gold pour, haze and small floaties. head is very white, creamy, tight bubbles, decent lace. Spicy nose, cloves, bubblegum, cinnamon, citrus, bit of banana, sweetish. Spicy flavours - upfront cinnamon, medium sweetness, a bit of orange peel, big clove finish. Lingering spices, some wheat, grass and distant citrus. Not a lot of alcohol character coming through which is nice. Medium body with good fine bubbles of carbonation. Not a beer I’d want to drink everyday, but an interesting one nonetheless - complex and well brewed. Spices definitely fit for a winter brew. Like a hyper spiced witbier.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: APR 6, 2012 (Second Rating, Home, 341mL Bottle, Vintage Feb. 2012, Lager Glass, 8.3% ABV, Cellar Temp, 01/04/12. #21-33.)
Appearance (3/5): Pours a hazy, bright gold color. Average sized, frothy, white, mostly diminishing head with good lacing.
Aroma (8/10): Dominant cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, coriander, and roasted toffee, with subtle notes of bubble gum, perfume, and orange.
Taste (7/10): Begins moderately sweet and lightly acidic, with a spicy bitterness that rises up and lingers to form a nice long finish.
Palate (4/5): Medium body, soft carbonation, slightly oily texture with something acidic that curls your tongue. Dry, warm finish.
Overall (15/20): Just wow. Like winter in a glass. The spices smell amazing, and taste just as good. The finish is the best part, rich with spicy warmth. Definitely a sipping beer; very potent flavors that may be just a tad overpowering.
Drinkability: 2/5. Character: 5/5. Buy Again: Yes.

3.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle: Poured a clear bright amber color ale with a nice large foamy head with good retention and some light lacing. Aroma of strong cinnamon and cloves notes is a bit surprising at first but quite enticing. Taste is a very nice mix between some strong notes of cinnamon and cloves mix in with sweet but not overly so malt backbone. Body is bit thin unfortunately with too much filtration with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. I really enjoyed the mix of cinnamon and cloves but my biggest beef with this one is the fact that the body is a bit too thin.

Hazy golden yellow with a nice creamy white head. Aroma is cinnamon, clove and citrus. Full body with soft carbonation. In spicy, more clove, but can still feel the cinnamon a bit. OK

Blanche Neige pours out a bright, clear golden orange with a finger of yellowish head. This looks almost like an Imperial IPA. A bit disappointing that this is filtered. Nose is well spiced and malted well with big clove and coriander notes. Some estery notes including lemon rind as well as cinnamon and big wheaty notes. The taste has a big alcohol pungent finish with some lignering spice notes and big wheaty richness. Its a big beer with nice sweet fruity esters and spices balanced well throughout. Overall, this is a really good beer.
