UPDATED: AUG 19, 2009 On tap at Mondial 2009. Clear yellow, Aroma is malty, citrusy and hoppy. Taste is pretty crisp and gently hopped. Malt and wheat as well. I thought it was a nice different beer. It’s nice that they tried something a bit unusual !

Draft: Poured a light yellow color ale with some faint white haze and a medium foamy head with good retention and some light lacing. Aroma of wheat and citrus hops provides an incredibly enjoyable mix with complex floral notes. Taste is a well balanced mix between some slightly sweet wheat malt and some floral hoppy notes which provides great taste. Body is about average with good carbonation. This one really worked well for me with great drinkability factor.

On tap at the brewpub. Hazy blond body with a huge, fading, white foamy head. Sharp hoppy aroma with grapefruit and coriander hints. Its robust, fresh hoppy taste carries citrusy and coriander notes. Ends with a long bitter/herbal finish. Well done!

On tap at the St-Jérome location on their third anniversary, slight hazy pale blonde hue, with a white head, nice mild floral tropical fruity hop nose of litchis, rambutans, apricots, orange, tangerine peels, with a faint yeasty, zesty, lactic yogurt, acidic note in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a yeasty, flowery citrus, tropical fruit, leafy, grassy, hop character, with some zesty, lime, lemon rind accents, and a faint wheaten, pale malt acidic undertone, leading towards a zesty, citrusy, leafy hop bittering finish.

Pours a clear golden color with a medium, bubbly, white head. Nice aroma of fruity esters, hops and bubblegummy yeast. Good flavor of bubblegummy yeast, fruity esters and floral hops along some bitterness. The body is light to medium with an oily texture and medium carbonation. Very good.

on tap at Dieu du Ciel. pours a clear light gold with a nice white head. aroma is very nice. citrus, banana, cloves, yeast and cascade hops. taste is very original, it’s what i like most about this beer. while coriander was absent from the bouquet, it was definately apparent in the flavour. it’s almost like a mélange of an American IPA and a Belgian Wit. mouthfeel is bubbly with plenty of carbonation. a great thirst quencher. the finish is semi dry. a lovely beer, but will unfortunately always stand below the Blanche du Paradis.

[on tap at brewpub] Buttery orange-pine, and sweet aroma. Light yellow appearance that is hazy and with a white ring. Mineral watery lychee flavour that is weak, with some dry orange bitterness that is kind of vegetal. Light body, medium carbonation, strange finish. Weird.

Pale yellow in colour with a thin white head, light lacing. Aroma is peppery, lots of lemons, must and yeast, floral. Flavour is yeasty and herbal, peppery spice with some floral hops. Spicy mouthfeel, medium body, moderate carbonation. Finishes long and spicy.

Its okay but not my favourite from Dieu du Ciel. Overly spicy at times.

Draught at Mondial 2009 in Montreal, Quebec.

Sampled on June 5, 2009.
