On tap at DDC. Pours a very hazy yellow topped with a gradually dissipating, thick white head; yields some impressive lacing around the glass. Aroma of fresh cereals, bananas and cloves, all enveloped in a light smoky scent. Typical weizen character up front in the flavor, nice grainy and banana tones coming through, some acidity as well, though is quickly curbed by a mild ashy bitterness that holds into the finish. Carbonation is lively, though lends a smooth mouth feel; alcohol is hardly present. Very drinkable and approachable, even for those unfamiliar or wary of the style.

Unclear - hazy medium yellow colour with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale, smoke, moderate yeasty, rubber, yeast. Flavour is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120511]

Tap @ Copenhagen Beer Celebration, 2012. Slightly hazy deep golden with small white head. Aroma is malt, fruit, smoke, yeast and meat. Flavour is malt, fruit, smoke, yeast, meat, hops, medium sweet and a little bitter.

On tap. Pours a cloudy opaque golden with a white head leaving a discreet lacework. Fat baconish smoke aroma. Light body with a dry fruitiness and again fat smoky notes even with an ashy twist - think chewing a cigarette butt. Ends dry and lightly bitter. Can’t help it, once again a Smoked beer fails to convince me. I’m pretty sure there’s no smoked beers in beer heaven. 260512

Draft @ CBC 2012. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a white head. Has a fruity malty slightly spicy smoky aroma. Sweetish malty grainy smoky flavor with weak yeasty hints. Has a fruity malty smoky finish.

On tap at CBC, Copenhagen. Hazy gold beer. Little white head. Light dry crisp palate. Mild smoke amid the fresh minerals. A little citrus. Just a fresh crispy beer with a modicum of smoke.

From tap. Pours hazy yellow with a small white head. Smoked and light cornish. Mild yeasty and smoked flavoured. Bitter and smoked finish.

Copenhagen Beer Celebration, 2012. Pours cloudy golden with a small creamy head. Rubber, wheat, caramel and mild yeast. Dry and hoppy finish with a whiff of banana, Medium bodied.
