UPDATED: MAY 28, 2011 on tap at DdC. deep orange colour with a huge off white head that leaves incredible lacing. lots of bubbles flying upwards. the hops are intense in the aroma. very floral, but citrus too. taste starts with sweet cereals and a bit of caramel, but quickly is taken over by the intense hops. very bitter. mouthfeel is full and mildly carbonated. this is summer’s answer to high ABV. another extremely well done beer by DdC.

This IPA has the good flavor of citrus plus a very sweet taste, its cloudy orange color is appealing. Another great beer from the best of Montreal.

UPDATED: OCT 17, 2007 9mo aged cask at the brewpub, DDC 9th anniversary. Golden amber colour. Extremely flavourful. Very hoppy, but surprisingly smooth. Quite bitter, as it should be. The finish isn’t nearly as bitter as I expected. If the chalkboard hadn’t listed this as 8.5% I would never have noticed. Quite possibly the best beer I’ve ever tasted.
Also had the 2yr bottled version, but it wasn’t quite as good - a bit too mellow for my tastes.

UPDATED: DEC 28, 2004 Sampled cask conditioned at the brewpub.
Hazy golden. Intensely grapefruity. Sweet and very hoppy with lots of grapefruit and rich, soft mouthfeel, Very bitter finish. Interesting with a DIPA with a focus on mouthfeel.

A dark ruby beer with a good beige head with medium retention.
Smells of hops, flowers, very floral.
her taste is very floral, hoppish, with a shy bitterness, actually it is like drinking some flower.
A good mouthfeel but the floral part down points in term of drinkability.
