341ml bottle. Dark red colour, moderate almond head. Aroma is strong smoke, with some sweetness behind it. Ends up smokey BBQ sauce. Smoke taste stays true, doesn’t go bacon or smoked fish, more smoked spices or Hickory Stix. Body is pretty average, Overall, Out of This World, Space-Age Moon Waffles.

Pours mostly unclear with a smaller sandy colored head. Aroma bring the smoked malts so smooth like fresh gouda. Flavors brings the smoked malts nicely as well on such a smooth body, carbonated just right. There is no bacon or meat flavors, just smoky wood and an amber flavor under it.

Maybe a bit much for me. Kind of meaty and odd which I dont like in smoked beers. Sweetness is there almost reminds me of caramalyzed bacon but in a not as good way.

Boom this one is tasty, great smoky flavors, like hickory smoked bacon, and who doesn’t like bacon?!?

Clear but red colour. Huge smoke and hickory aroma and a hint of caramel. On the palate is it medium bodied, has an almost sweet finish along with a little charcoal bitterness. Like the rest of the beers this brewery makes, very good stuff.

Une des meilleures bières fumées du Québec. Odorante, boisée, robe rouge-brun. Le fumé est bien balancé pour se marier aux malts et au côté un peu caramel. Savoureuse, voire puissante, mais pas envahissante.

Dégustée en fût sur place. De couleur ambrée-cuivrée et voilée.Nez malté de caramel doux aux notes de rôti, de fumée (fumée de bois, léger de bacon), ainsi que léger de houblon herbeux et de noix. Moyennement ronde en bouche avec un pétillement moyen et une texture un peu huileuse. Goût de malt fumé (fumée de bois, moyen-léger de jambon fumé) lors de l’entrée en bouche suivi rapidement d’un goût malté de caramel puis en finale l’on retrouve une légère amertume de houblon herbeux auquel se rajoute un des notes sèches de noix. Post-goût moyen-long, légèrement amer de houblon herbeux, légèrement fumé avec de faibles notes rôties et de noix. (été 2006)

Bouteille de 341ml, robe ambrée brunâtre, arôme de fumée, en bouche c’est de la fumée et de la mélasse, excellente rauchbier!

Whilst arguing fruitlessly with a company over the phone over their defective and substandard product, I consumed this and was able to remain calm and did not reach thru the phone to throttle the idiotic momos. They even had the Bravosian swagger to state that they stood behind their product 100%...but stated to me that the problem in front of me is and I quote "impossible." F’n Momos all of them. Whew....now that I’ve got that out of my system...... Bottle in trade from the Illustrious and polite MartinT. Bright and crisp amber-ruby in the glass with a thin ring of foam about the edges. Light nose of smoke and peat. Smoke and peat are multiplied at first taste. Brisket in center of it all. Spotty small lacing left behind after quaffing. Other than that, no legs whatsoever. Calming and enjoyable without a meal. This brewery continues to impress.

12oz Bottle, purchased at Depanneur Peluso - Montreal, QC. Light smoke and meat aroma. Nice brown malts behind. The smokiness here is pretty decent, with a good rough, deep charcoal and brisket quality. The toasty sugars pair up nicely. This is a good balance of smoke and drinkability, with nuanced and enjoyable smoke qualities that cover a range of flavors.
