From puzzl. Thanks Andy. From a 341 ml bottle this poured a dark reddish brown with a tan head with good thick lacing. Nose is of caramel malts and floral and pine hops. Medium mouthfeel.with a flavor of nuts and berries, and a long lingering slightly bitter mouthfeel. My brother did not like this but I thought it was fine.

A reddish brown ale with a thick off white head. Aroma is very pleasant, lots of floral hops, marmelade, light black pepper. In mouth, a nutty malt with good floral hops, grapefruit. Medium bodied. A very nice ale! Bought at Jovi, 2.45$.

A l’odeur on a l’impression quel va etre crémeuse.

Shared with Pyrozoid

App.: Dark clear nutty brown poor, foamy light brown head

Aromas: hoppy (chinook?), nutty, metallic, toffee, passion fruit

Palate: very good palate profile, perfect mariage between bitter and sweet, just the right carbonation, medium body, creamy

Flavors: Mixed nuts, earthy, hints of ginger, caramel...

Notes: overall nicely balanced and fresh... bottle from the always delightfull to deal with (not) dude at the Depanneur Rahman on Laurier O.

On tap at Festival Bières et Saveurs, the special festival brew. I didn’t realize till later that it was DDC. Excellently hopped with British hoips, amarillo? A brown colour but a real style bender. Fresh lace, just great hops and drinkability. A much above average brew, and As a brown its terrific.

UPDATED: SEP 21, 2008 My Bottom Line:
Subtle citrusy hops seep into generous almond and caramel sweetness in this wholesome and chewy hopped-up Brown Ale.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A film of foam tops the clear copper-brown.
-The aroma is definitely not as appealing as the flavor profile.
-The round body remains very drinkable throughout.
-Roasted and toasted malts envelop the earthy hops in the finish and team up for an eloquent bitterness.
-This is very drinkable despite its upfront flavors.
-The nutty component bends into hazelnut sweetness as well.

On tap at Festival Bières et Saveurs and from the bottle.
