There is a rich caramel malt flavor with a powerful hop finish that leaves pine on the palate. This is a very tasty brew. malrubius (988), Valley Stream, New York, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 22, 2009 11.2 ounce bottle in pint glass. Caramel color with lasting dense head and lace. Caramel biscuit and hop aroma. Toasted caramel biscuit bread and peach sweet fruitiness with very dry hoppy earthy finish. Medium body great mouthfeel. High quality balanced beer, unfortunately, a lot of us (me at least) prefer really crisp hoppy dry piney citrusy IPAs. Still, nice. shadey (1498), Rochester, New York, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 19, 2009 12oz bottle from BOTW. Pours a bright amber-orange with a nice head of creamy white lace that clings to the glass. Aroma is hoppy, but restrained. There is plenty of caramel here. The caramel is almost toasted in character - really nice. Flavors are well blended and artistically done. The malts are quality and really well developed. The hops are clearly west-coast. Well done IPA. pantani (1898), Salinas, California, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 17, 2009 Deep amber with a thick off white head. Aroma is a heavy earthy hoppiness, caramel, dried fruit, toffee- very sweet aroma. Taste is a light fruitiness, faint hops, light alcohol, caramel. Not sure if the date on this bottle but I’m guessing it’s older due to the lack of present hoppiness. Snojerk321 (1955), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 14, 2009 12oz bottle from Liquid Solutions. Pours a hazy rusty brown color with a 2 finger beige head that left some spotty lacing. Nose was over run with sweet malts and candied tree fruits. The hops were not very prevalent. Flavor was also quite sweet with a touch of hop bitterness. Its a good thing I like IPA’s that have been sitting around a while, it seems like this one has. sneagrams3 (1756), St. Louis, Missouri, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Apr 14, 2009 Tasted 4/6/09. 12oz bottle. Filtered with an amber hue. Lacing bone white head. Bright aromas with notes of citrus and oranges. Touch mutes body with low effervescence. Big and piney earthy hops. Mildly sticky, but totally doughy. Mild rye, but still in a bready sence. Decent, but well below average. blipp (1669), Newark, New Jersey, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 5, 2009 Bottle. Pours orange amber with an off white head. The aroma has a caramel malty sweetness with herbal and floral hops. The flavor has sweet malt, herbal hops, and a little bit of grassy bitterness in the finish. Decent, but really not that impressive. Jonte (819), Gothenburg, Sweden

Hops, grape, pine, caramel malt, apricots, faint rubber. Not bad, but probably better if more fresh. An easy drinking IPA with a malty backbone.
