Jan 12, 2009 Bottle. Pours dark orange-red with big pale head. Soft, fruity but very marked aroma of grape, orange peel and dried apricots with hints of pine and flowers. Medium big, slightly sweet and caramelly malt transforms into a grapey and markedly bitter dry finish. Excellent beer, but a bit on the dark and sweet side for an IPA.

Jan 8, 2009 Hazy deep amber,small lasting beige head.Sweet hoppy nose.Good bitter hop profile, citrus mid, lasting bitter end, lots of malt backbone.

Jan 6, 2009 12 oz bottle (on sale $3.49). Poured a deeper and cloudy amber color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of fresh juicy oranges, caramel, other citrus, and floral. Tastes of citrus, toasted caramel malts, and light pine. Not overly bitter or hoppy; more of a balanced Amber. I wasn’t all that impressed.

Jan 5, 2009 This beer is a brownish-orange color with a medium thick and foamy beige head that dissipates steadily. Rings of lacing on the glass. Hoppy aroma with notes of citrus and bready malt. Medium-bodied and moderately bitter with citrusy hops, malt and touches of grain. The finish is resiny hops with a lingering bitterness left over. Straightforward and good IPA through and through.

Jan 4, 2009 Tulip from bottle. Pours an orange/tan with a thick lacey head. Hoppy sweet aroma, with oranges and lemon. Pecan with hops on the tongue, tangy bitterness, with sweet redfruit. Foamy velvety mouth feel.

Jan 3, 2009 This poured a dark orange color with a creamy off white head. Aroma was of caramel and citrusy hops. Flavor was much the same, not much hop flavor, just bitterness and sweet malt flavors. Wish I had tried this a bit fresher.
