Commercial Description:
Corne du diable (French for "Horn of the devil") is a contemporary interpretation of the classic English India Pale Ale. This new style, born on the west coast of North America, is characterized by stronger and hoppier beers. The result is a red ale expressing caramel flavours coming from the malt, sharp bitterness and powerful hop aromas, thanks to dry hopping.

Hazy orange-red with a dense and beautiful head that continues into lacings. The aroma is wonderful, full of pine and orange - like a Swedish wood in spring time. And the flavours do not dissapoint either, being nicely hopped with notes of grape and a bit of metal. All of this is perfected by a soft palate, almost like whipped cream.

11.2oz bottle. Spicy, resiny nose. Toasted brown sugar. Head and Shoulders shampoo. Herbal and woody as well. Pine resin. Hops dominate but there is a fair amount of malt in the background. Pours a muddy amber/brown with a thin but sticky white head. Flavor is dominated by dry, soapy and rather non-expressive hops. Plenty bitter but lacking any real nuance. Spicy brown sugar for the malt profile. I quite enjoy the malt in this one rather than the hops. Rich and full bodied with a lasting bitter finish.

Pours a murky orangish amber with a big two-finger head that lingers a while leaving good lacing. Aroma is big on light hops in the form of lemongrass and hints of pine and grapefruit. There is also a bit of bready malts in the background. Taste is big on hops up front, both citrus and floral, but with an interesting spicy kick with caramel malts. The hops come back to give a good hop bitterness in the finish. The mouthfeel is excellent, creamy and with strong carbonation. This is an interesting and tasty take on an IPA.

Pour is hazed dark orangey amber with a thin dense tan head...smell is hoppy with some resin and grapefruit and a hint of toastiness...taste is lightly sweet with caramel at first, then a nice citric bitterness builds...a nice hint of breadcrumb sweetness in the finish....nice...

Hazy amber w/ frothy off-white foam. Hoppy aroma of grapefruit, mint & leafy tobacco. Medium, sticky feel. Flavour is sweet & hoppy w/ a dry, earthy bitterness in the finish.

Reddish brown with a white head. Great floral and citrus fruits aroma. Smouth palate with a caramelic final. One of the top IPA.

Copper color with a medium head. Solid orange and citrus aroma. Wow... strong malt backbone. Lots of caramel and almost bready. Toast? Plenty of citrus (orange and grapefruit) and enough bitterness that it’s not overly sweet, but very incredibly balanced.
