| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jun 9, 2008 Pours a copper/amber body, slightly hazed, with a modest ecru head. The aroma is a light caramel overlaid by moderate hoppy scents of grapefruit, zest of lemon, orange rind, and earth. Those hops perform much better in the flavor, the bitterness intensified with just enough of a sweet malty backbone to support it. The finish is dry with a prolonged citric bitterness. Way too easy to drink.

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 8, 2008 Bottle sampled with Stegosaurus. Amber pour with a mild aroma of hop and citrus. Mild bitterness and citrus and hop flavor. It was good but not mind blowing. juiceisloose (671), Windermere, Florida, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 8, 2008 Courtesy beerlando. This one poured a amberish orange color with a medium foamy white head that settles quickly. The aroma is of earthy hops, bread, and some caramel malts. The flavor shows sweet citrus fruit of the orange and grapefruit variety to go with some caramel malt. Citrus hops add bitterness in the background, but not overpowering. Medium bodied with a nice sweet flavor and a slight bitter finish. A nice different take on the style. fiulijn (7150), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Jun 7, 2008 Beautiful red-amber color, bright; the head reduces quickly, but leaves behind a sticky lace. It has a winderful hoppy aroma, with resins, a bit fruity and a touch of vanilla too. Unfortunately the sugars all all gone; there is a strong caramel and toffee flavor and a very strong bitterness, with some good oils; the final is very long. Good, but why wasting so much hop and forgetting the body? beerguy101 (3891), Newark, California, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 6, 2008 This IPA pours a deep copper amber color from a 33cl bottle. Medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is earthy malts and floral hops. A medium bodied IPA. The malts are caramel, earthy and semi-sweet. The hops are floral and citrusy. A different tasting IPA, its an IPA, but the malt and hops profile seem different than the normal citrusy hops and caramel malts. Lots of orange and tangerine flavors as well. Nice balance. Long lasting bitter finish. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly bitter. crizay (1050), Brook Park (was Tampa,FL), Ohio, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 6, 2008 copper red pour, medium white head that stays. aroma is very earthy with a dark caramel scent and lots of earthy hoppiness. flavor is earthy upfront into again a dark caramel like flavor with some biscuit notes and then resiny bitterness. hops are pretty good and the bitterness isn’t too abrasive at all with pine and citrus coming through but the resin cuts through it all. not bad at all. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 6, 2008 11.5oz bottle. Poured a ruddy orange color. Head was thick, foamy, and off white with good retention. There were evenly matched malty caramel and flowery hops in the nose. I also noticed hints of pine needles and cooked vegetables after it sat in the glass for a few minutes. Earthy and dry up front with mild bitterness coming out at the end. I tasted dark malts, dried leaves, flowery/sprucy hops, and caramel. There was also a bit of cherry and even some toasted coconut. Left coast IPA? Not so much. More like a well balanced amber. Maybe a bit overrated the day I tried it (92nd percentile), but good nonetheless. twitcher (293), framingham, Massachusetts, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 5, 2008 Hazy, dirty orange color with a pretty wispy dirty white head that thins out pretty quick. Thick, heavy smell... almost old ale-ish. Sharp, floral hop smells with some thin caramel maltiness. Flavors of heavy dried flowers with sharp, dry bitterness all over the palate. Toasted, grainy pale malt and thin caramel sweetness. Very dry bitter finish, somewhat slick on the mouth.
The bottle notes "american-style india pale ale". In that respect- not really on the mark. But the quality of the beer itself is decent, though definitely not worth the price.
