3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20Pours a cloudy copper-amber with a dense khaki head that settles slowly to a thick ring and leaves substantial lacing. Nose involves a healthy dose of caramel, dark fruits and sugars, some orange-citrus and earthy herbal (tea leaves) notes. Taste is not nearly as sweet as the nose leads on; it’s actually quite bitter. Fuller but not too heavy bodied, creamy, softer carb, somewhat grainy, with an intensely bitter finish. Really nice brew. Definitely on the malty side, but to style on the bitterness.

Quite a bland IPA, very malty dominant and limited hop profile. Good balance, but not enough to carry this through.

Bottled. Pours light brown in color with a small off-white head. Lots of caramel in aroma, some sweet honey kind of notes as well. Soft mouthfeel. Sweet in taste, some light bitterness, bust mostly sweet burnt brown sugar perhaps. Hopped amber ale with a malty sweet caramel and grassy bitter finish.

June 2010. Bottle. Aromas of citrus fruit and flowers. Pours cloudy amber with a white head. Flavors of pine, tropical fruit and herbs. Dry hoppy finish.

Bottle: Poured a brown with orange hazy bottom, two finger off white head floated on top. Aroma is nice juicy hops. Nice fresh hops strike the tongue, citrus and malts duke it out in the finish.

Bottle from mane liquor. Deep copper pour with a small off white head. Nice lacing. Aromas of caramel and grassy hops. Taste grapefruit and caramel dominate. Soft carbonation and dry grapefruit bitterness. Pretty solid stuff
