Commercial Description:
Corne du diable (French for "Horn of the devil") is a contemporary interpretation of the classic English India Pale Ale. This new style, born on the west coast of North America, is characterized by stronger and hoppier beers. The result is a red ale expressing caramel flavours coming from the malt, sharp bitterness and powerful hop aromas, thanks to dry hopping.

Bottled. A slightly hazy red-amber beer with a medium tan head. The aroma is sweet and very hoppy - with both notes of grass and grapefruit. The flavor is sweet and very hoppy again with notes of grass and grapefruit, but also pine needles, leading to a very bitter finish.

(Bottle 34,1 cl) Courtesy of mortendb. Clear, amber golden with a dense, creamy, beige, lacing head. Fresh aroma of citrus and peach. Medium-bodied with sweetish caramel and very fresh, fruity flavours provided by the aroma hops. Dry, hoppy finish. 120108

Bottled at Ørsted Ølbar, Copenhagen. Clear copper colour, creamy head. Grapefruity lychee-like hop aroma. Medium sweet with clean rounded mouthfeel. Fresh hops supported by caramelly malt. Above medium bodywith evident crystal malt character. Lots of hop aroma, less bitterness.

12 fl oz bottle, thanks to BelJohansen. Pours slight hazy orange to amber with a lacing head. Thick hoppy aroma. Flavour is dry malty, dry pine hoppy and with a dry finish. Not overly bitter. Quite mild and almost tea like flavour. Interesting difference between the aroma and flavour. Unsure if that is intentional. Finish builds up a solid bitterness.

Bottle. Unclear medium amber orange color with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly - fully lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate to heavy hoppy, pine, orange, light yeasty, soap. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, finish taste is like citrus tea. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. )
