COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Corne du diable (French for "Horn of the devil") is a contemporary interpretation of the classic English India Pale Ale. This new style, born on the west coast of North America, is characterized by stronger and hoppier beers. The result is a red ale expressing caramel flavours coming from the malt, sharp bitterness and powerful hop aromas, thanks to dry hopping.

From a 11.5 oz bottle. Pours a murky amber with an off white head. Toffee and floral hop aroma. Surprisingly sweet malt flavors for an IPA. Hops are pretty subdued for the style.

Bottle to pint glass. Looks like muddy water, very small head. Aroma is brown bread, cinnamon, nutmeg, slight yeast. Taste is fruity, apricot, date. Also brown sugar and French toast. Yum. Slight vinegar like aftertaste, but not too bad. Carbonation is weak. Don’t know that I would classify this as an American Style IPA; seems closer to a Belgian, but lighter on the strong yeast. Very tasty though.

Vermelha escura, quase marrom, levemente turva. Espuma média de média duração. Aroma adocicado e cítrico. Sabor bem amargo, com notas de ameixa, caramelo, limão, grama verde e especiarias. Retrogosto adocicado com final amargo. Uma IPA extremamente complexa e saborosa!

Bottle @ Stout Irish Pub, Toronto. Pours hazy dark amber with airy but stable off-white head. Clear aroma of hops and needles, with fruity notes and touches of yeast. Bitter, hoppy flavour with notes of citrus amd touches of malt and fruit. Estery hints, especially in the rather bitter aftertaste. Decent, indeed

Bottle. Brownish colour with orange lacing. Medium beige head. Powerfull aroma of citrus and orange. Some grass notes with caramel. Flavour as porfull. Citrus and orange. Caramel malt is more present. The bitterness is impressive. A blasting IPA. Dieu du Ciel are not only brewers, they are artist! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Beer52. Pours ruby red, slightly cloudy, off white single finger head. Aroma of subtle hops, orange, lemon, light yeast, light malts, toffee, caramel...Taste of initial malts, tea, caramel, toffee, toasted malts, smokiness, subtle hops, floral hops. Then a medium bitter finish. Nice.

Nose is pine with earthy toasted malt. Taste is caramel malt, some pine and assertive bitterness, earthy malt. More of an English style IPA in my opinion, but very intense and tasty.

Nearly opaque golden copper. Small beige head, Pineapple, mango, hops, citrus, caramel, and malt aroma. Would prefer the aroma to be more vigorous, but still quite nice. Wonderfully smooth and complex ipa. Texture is creamy and mid bodied. Flavours commence with a combination of smooth caramel, malt, raisins, and perhaps a wee bit of chocolate. Finish is mild citrus, caramel, and hop.

Pours hazy copper with thin white head. Nose is caramel and hops. Aromas are toasted malt, burnt caramel, herbs and a hint of lemon. Medium body, medium carbonation. Long bitter finish. Well balanced IPA, a great one! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Au nez, c'est caramel, houblonné et sucre d'orge. En bouche, le caramel est bien présent avec des notes houblonnées et maltées. La finale est douce, sucrée et légèrement amère. Belle IPA traditionnelle. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
