Commercial Description:
Corne du diable (French for "Horn of the devil") is a contemporary interpretation of the classic English India Pale Ale. This new style, born on the west coast of North America, is characterized by stronger and hoppier beers. The result is a red ale expressing caramel flavours coming from the malt, sharp bitterness and powerful hop aromas, thanks to dry hopping.

Cask at Volo Cask Day 2006. Slightly hazy reddish-orange colour. Aroma - wow! Fresh, sweet, citric hops with a good malt backing. Flavour is big and hoppy with sweet caramel malt to balance. Really nice.

Dieu Du Ciel Corne Du Diablo IPA Pours medium hazy amber with a medium white head. Some lacing on the glass. Aroma is hops and flowers and then bread dough. Very pleasant aroma. The flavor starts with hops and bread dough then morphs to a floral arrangement as it fills the mouth then becomes a dry stout at the finish with some lingering hops. Smooth and complex. Delicious.

Bottle, kindly shared by yngwie. A thin layer of beige bubbles, covering a cloudy, reddish brown body. Fruity and minty hops on the nose, backed by a whiff of light caramelly malts. Light malt body, sweet and peppery, with tones of caramel. Raw, spicy and unrefined hop bitterness. Medium body strenght. Slick in the mouth. Sharp, earthy bitterness in the ending.

Amber-ruby pour with a dense, lasting, 1-finger, white head. The aroma is definitely hop heavy with a good amount of grapefruit, floral honey, and a bit herbal with deep, earthy caramel malt. The flavor is intensely herbal at first then very piny and bitter and fading to a lasting grapefruit and chalky, earthy caramel. The body is medium-full, creamy and had lots of lively carbonation.

A great version of the India Pale Ale. This beer is aggressive and yet really well balanced. Probably one of the best IPA produced in Quebec.

Ahhhh this is great! Pours a red/amber with a sm./med. white head. Aroma of lots of piney/citrus hops, some caramel malts. Strangely, I found almost a chocolate-y thing going on at first sip, but that kind of dissapeared. Nice full body, almost non-ipa in a sense. I really really like this. Excellent twist on an American style IPA. Wraps up with a nice citrus burst of hops.
