This is a ruby-copper coloured ale with a lovely caramel aroma touched by a light cherry fragrance. Lightly effervescent, the first draught offers a wonderful caramel taste which will keep you begging for more! The taste of hops is quite discrete as it is overshadowed by the warm alcohol. This is one of our most popular and best tasting beers.

On tap at the brewpub, Andy Ricky PJ Andrew R. Dark pour and little/no head. Overall impression is that itís a good scotch ale, but lacking a bit of the sticky tar-molasses-sugary quality that makes the style a treat to me. On the right track just a tad underdone and mellow. Still enjoyed much.

[6700-20140823] Tap. Toasted fig fruit and mild woody plastic aroma. Hazy, dark roan red brown body with a quick foamy tan head. Earthy mineral toasted grains flavour has a boozy fruity cherry overtone. Medium-full body. Good but my expectations were high. (7/3/7/3/16) 3.6

[Draught at the brewpub, Sep.21] Pours a cloudy deep amber with no head. Aroma is smoky and malty along with dark fruit, some maple syrup and toffee. Nice flavour, malty, fruity and a bit smoky along with some hops in the finish. Medium bodied, almost oily mouthfeel. Love it!

Pours a ripe copper color with gaseous eggshell foam. Lots of sweet maple, toffee flavors upfront that gain complexities of salted caramel, toasted malt, vanilla and a kiss of smoke. A touch flat making the body a little more sticky than Id like but still a delicious beer !

On tap @ DDC (Montrťal). Reddish amber with no head and no lacing. Aroma is of butterscotch with light moked notes and light fruits. Taste is slightly sweet and about the same as aroma. Medium body. Low carbonation. Good Scotch Ale, but the lack of carbonation didnít help and it as somewhat bland and boring.

Draft at Blind Tiger with Streets and the RB crew. Pours a deep hazy amber body with light lacing. Aroma is sweet caramel, spice and sweet booze. Mouthfeel is medium to syrupy with sweet notes of caramel, touches of vanilla and alcohol.

DDC you are the best! On tap at Prohibition Pig is yet another amazing beer from the spawn of Nickleback. Moderately sweet up front with a dry malty finish. Light hops add a touch of balance to go with the cherry, nutty, toasted maltiness of the beer.
