My Bottom Line :
Pineapple and mango seep from this Pale Ale’s tropical hop profile, basking in silky honeyed cereals.

Further Personal Perceptions :
-A veil of foam tops the hazy blond.
-The resinous hop bitterness is leveled to the rest of the brew’s medium intensity.
-Herbal edges are also contributed by the Calypso hops.
-Drinkability is quite high.

On tap at the brewpub.

On tap at Dieu du Ciel, pour a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma of floral hops, just like a meadow - not much else prominent on the nose. Flavour is also very floral, reminds me of fresh dandelions and other meadow flowers. Nice soft mouthfeel. Pretty decent.

On tap at DDC. Pours a pale amber gold with a small white head. Aroma of very light light bread, floral notes, and cereal. Grassy. Flavour is dull as expected. Not much else to say. Basic beer.

Kiwi, gazon, poivre avec un malt généreux avec les houblons, leur laissant toute la place. Fini résineux, sec et très amer.

On tap at DDC (Montreal). Pours clear amber with white head and lacing. Not very aromatic. Mostly hoppy, fruity with some pine. Resinous. Long lasting bitter finish. On style.

(Rating #4277)

Draught at WVRST for ’Dieu du Ciel! Tap Takeover’, June 16. Pours a cloudy copper with an average size foamy white head. Aroma is mild with citrus hops, fruit and light malt. Flavour is lightly bitter, fruity and grainy. Average bodied. Pretty good.

Pale and hazy. Fruity - citrus and pine - with cedar and spicy yeast nuances. Spicy and piney hop character with clean pale malts backing it up. I think this hop (calypso) is better for bittering than for flavour but the beer is ok.

[4511-20120616] Tap. Mild grassy lemon hops aroma has a light floral note. Hazy, light orange body with a long-lasting foamy white head and some lacing. Mild peat leafy green hops flavour is quite chewy and young and citrus chocolate comes out a bit later. Medium-full body. Tasty but odd at first. (7/4/7-/3/15) 3.6

2012-06-16. Dark pastel yellow, nice creamy off white head. 3+ First sip is a bit harsh, nice citrusy hops gives way to leafy green hops and a rough bitterness, mild earthy touches in the finish. Similar aroma, sort of citrusy hops lightly green, leafy hops. Touches of grapefruit. Average bodied palate with pleasant carbonation. Grapefruit grows as it goes slowly eclipsing the leafy green undertones, to it’s benefit for my tastes. Decent. On tap at Wvrst, Toronto
