On tap summer 2005. Hazier than the 15, with a light sweet malt aroma. More crisp in mouth, with light bananas and fruity esters. A refreshing little beer, for the summer.

Banana, citrus-lemon and wheat are all quite strong in the nose. Cloudy golden straw with decent white head that recedes to cover with some patchy lacing. Lemon-citrus, banana and hay-like hops in the creamy wheat flavour. Quite tart in the finish. Medium-light body with sharp, crisp, fine-bubbled, pointy carbonation that lasts well. A great summer thirst quencher - relieves the oppressive 100% humidity. On tap at the brewpub.

Troubled yellow/peach, only a thin crown around the edges. Light, wheaty smell, with a palpable yeast spicyness that gave it almost a saison-ish aroma altogether. Cinnamon and spice flavored oatmeal with hints of apples, freshly crushed coriander and zested oranges. It was refreshing and I enjoyed it, maybe I should lobby to have this underachieving Weizen a chance to prove itself over time, but then again, DDC masters the style so well that I’ll just stick with the usuals.

Nice hazy golden body topped with an average white frothy head. Well balanced malty/hoppy aroma with hints of citrus, yeast, and coriander. Taste has bready, flowery, and herbal notes. Ends with a relatively long bittersweet finish. Nice!
