JPDIPSO (4286), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA May 10, 2008 Near cloudy golden body with a tall heavy cream colored head. Decent lace. Initial scents of dried flowers, vanilla and mild spices. Hops dominated the aromas in the beginning but as the volatiles are driven off some milk caramel, light fruit and wheat lay underneath. Some light pencil eraser rubber seems to pop up and distract a touch. Very nice start with pale malt, mild rose and light coriander and touch of citrus. The spice and citrus take over in the middle and things become more acidic and "rough". The front is so soft and smooth. that the finish and linger are somewhat a letdown. Linger has thistle and weed flavors along with a touch of light pepper. Just nice.
jjpm74 (3155), Stratford, CT 06614, Connecticut, USA Oct 12, 2008 12oz bottle courtesy of glouglouburp. Pours amber with a generous white head. Smells grassy and dry with a funky undertone. Tastes dry and lightly tarte with a grassy presence and some light peppery hints. Magjayran (1157), Durham, North Carolina, USA Oct 8, 2008 This is how it’s done! Honey colored with a huge white head. Light peach, fresh cut flowers, and a touch of pine in the aroma. The flavor is light, sweet, and a bit fruity at the start before coming on strong at the end with a notable hop bite. Easy to drink, subtle, and still complex. BMan1113VR (925), Los Angeles (and Dallas, TX), California, USA Oct 8, 2008 Bottle. Pours with a largish, rocky, white head that leaves great, very strong lacing. Body is a murky yellow. Aroma of oranges, fruits, dryness, candi sugar, and honey. Taste is a bit bland, dry and spicy with a bit of hops. Very lively carbonated with a dry mouthfeel. Tripplebrew (285), Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA Oct 5, 2008 Pours a hazy honey yellow with thick white head. Aroma is floral with undertones of piney hops. Flavor is VERY floral with hops presence. Subtle floral notes such as lavender and rose. Light sugars but the sugars are covered by hops. Body is creamy with high carbonation. JK (2501), Twin Cities, Minnesota, USA Oct 5, 2008 A dry, herbal Belgian ale. Wild grass, light malt, citrus, and wheat flavors. Fairly complex. Moderate hops in there as well. This is really for a style that rarely produces exciting beers.
