michael-pollack (1310), King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA May 8, 2008 11.5oz. Bottle: Belgian yeast, coriander, spices, pepper, and herbs. Poured amber/orange in color with a large, foamy, white head that lasted throughout. Cloudy. Many particles throughout. Sparkling. Excellent lacing. Flavor is lightly sweet. Tastes of yeast, herbs, pepper, coriander, and some bitter hops. Medium body. Tingly dry texture. Average to lively carbonation. Dry hop, pepper, and yeast finish.
SpudClampDawg (898), Jasper, Indiana, USA Jul 17, 2008 11.5oz bottle: Cloudy yellow pour with a thick, mound forming, head. The warm nose notes lots of fresh bread, flavorful honey, ripe banana and apples, funky and earthy yeast. Expansive carbonation works with the creamy, yeasty body. Mild, grassy bitterness leads the charge in the body, followed by a rush of flavors that include more esthery apple and pears, toast, graham cracker and sweet vanilla. Very good and very complex. GreenWall (28), Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada Jul 16, 2008 Pours hazy golden with three fingers of pillowy white head. The aroma is floral, definite pineapple, nice peppery phenolics. Nice spicy flavour. Firm bitterness and copious English hop flavour keep it very crisp, while the Belgian yeast notes (pineapple, pepper) carry over strongly from the aroma. Some alcohol. Silky and light on the tongue. Slight acrid dry hop character, almost tobacco-y. A beer of delicate but exceptional balance - a Belgian blonde with the hopping of an English summer bitter. Not a style-maker; just a perfect bent beer. Palidor19 (1194), Brandon, Florida, USA Jul 13, 2008 brings a harsh flavor of malts and spices. takes it with smotth drink. still very good. nick76 (1960), Tampa, Florida, USA Jul 13, 2008 The aroma is fruity and yeasty with malt, coriander, hops and spice. The appearance is nice with a large foamy head and hazy gold color. The flavor is like the aroma. The palate is thin. This is a nice belgian style ale. speedywinger (21), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Jul 11, 2008 Updated: Jul 12, 2008Frothy white head on a cloudy unpasteurised yellow body. Had to swirl the bottle at the end to get the sediment into the glass. Big citrussy, floral, yeasty, hoppy aroma. Complex flavor of spicy coriander, citrus, yeast and very hoppy. Another great beer from Dieu Du Ciel. They are making some great craft beers.
