My Bottom Line:
Slender honeyed malts are basking in tropical fruit before resinous hops seal this smooth, velvety Fruited IPA creation.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sheet of foam protects the shiny blond haze. Sun shining through morning mist.
-The kumquats and hops are perfectly harmonious.
-Drinkability is quite high.
-Resinous bitterness is moderate but just.

On tap at the brewpub.

Botte thanks to Pierre. Pours orange gold white head. Nose and taste of sliced kumquat, lime, sticky orange peel, resin and caramel malt. Medium body.

341 ml bottle courtesy of The Great Randino. Opaque yellowish orange, firm white foam settles and lasts. Grapefruity hoppy aroma. Taste is mostly floral grapefruity hop, some tangerine and mild pale malt, no bitterness. Average carbonation, light-medium bodied, moderately hopped. Very nice. LBW (Lagerboys Be Wary)

341ml bottle in Dieu Du Ciel tulip. cloudy yellow but slightly orange with a gorgeous, thick creamy head leaving rings of lacing with each sip. a swirl of the glass reveals a citrus dominated aroma. grapefruit and orange peel. i can taste the Kumquats in the beginning, but it finishes off with intense hop bitterness. i really like the mouthfeel of this one. it’s full bodied and thick, not overly carbonated, heavy for its ABV. Another beautiful beer by the guys at DDC, enjoy this one out in the sun.

Pours cloudy straw yellow and frothy white top. Aroma is citrus, grapefruit and pine hops. Taste is dry, citrus and grapefruit hop bitterness. Well balanced but it’s amazing how it just dries out the palate.

Bottle: Poured a bright golden/orangey color ale with a rather large white head with good retention and some great lacing. Aroma of huge floral hops notes is quite the treat with nice tangerine and citrus notes. Taste is also dominated by huge flora hoppy notes with some citrus and tangerine flavors and some light residual sugar notes. Kumquats are not as noticeable as I would have expected but than gain not sure I could recognize Kumquats that easily. Body is about average with good carbonation. Great summer IPA and something I would switch back and forth with Moralité.

Bottle from iga A: earthy notes, with some fruits, citrusy, orange marmalade. App: hazy golden white head. T/p: thin to med body moderate bitter finish with a touch of acidity. O: great. Not a big fan of fruit addition in beer but got to admit I enjoyed this fine brew. Don’t expect an in your face ipa more a sessionable one.
