Single from Marché Omni. Pours a hazy dark copper colour with a foamy off-white head that lasts a while, and loads of dirty soapy lace. The nose is mild, but has dark fruits with rusty hops. Eventually, the maple and nutty side come out. The taste on the other hand is full-flavoured. Roasted malts, dark fruits with hints of coffee and apples. The maple just coats everything to blend it nicely with some sweetness, but not overly. Quite a nice strong Scottish ale that is smooth with lots of taste, but well-blended.

From one of the best breweries in the world. Aroma of fresh pine needles and orange peel. Obvious notes of maple toffee in the taste but the bourbon notes are much prevalent over anything else. Notes of dried fruits and vanilla, with a quite intense leafy hoppiness like a sweet pine esters. Beautiful beer. Wow!

Couleur brun foncée,léger collet de couleur beige, un melange d?odeurs de whiskey,....assez rond en bouche...texture légèrement crémeuse, arome boisé, d?herbe,un peu terreux,devient âcre,laisse en bouche un gout d?alcool caramel ...c?est assez dure de mettre en mots......évaluation très personnel. Bonne broue ;)

Pours cloudy reddish brown with an off white head. Aroma of caramel, dark fruits, spices and maple syrup. Flavour is medium to heavy sweet and medium bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Pours chestnut, thin off-white head. Nose is booze, ash, sweet malts. Taste is booze, fruit cake, ash. Medium mouthfeel leads to dry, chalky finish.

Very interesting beer. Maple not overpowering, and adds a nice complexity. Had on cask.

11.5oz bottle shared. Pours dark murky brown, with light brown head. The aroma is sweet malt and maple. The flavor is phenom. You get that sweet malt of the Scottish ale up front an do the back end you get the warmth of the alcohol burn and the maple syrup or sugar. Veal ended very well together. Medium bodied ale. Very good.

Pours a deep amber color with a three finger eggshell foam that laces nicely. On the nose its maple, vanilla, caramel malt, touch of date fruit, sawdust and leather. The palate follows the nose nicely with a smooth balanced flavor profile. Nice underlying maple sweetness that mingles with the woody earth notes. Nice creeping bitterness from mid to late palate that keeps the finish from getting sticky. Nice brew.

Bière d’un brun très foncé, surhaussée d’une mousse moyennement généreuse, beige, qui fuit rapidement. Bouquet intéressant de caramel, d’érable, de tire-éponge peut-être, bref c’est fort sucré au nez. En bouche, le sucre explose également avec des notes d’érable, de mélasse, puis la finale est très chaleureuse et amène une amertume légère. C’est puissant, long en bouche, sucré. L’érable est subtil et ne vole pas du tout la vedette. Le goût de la scotch ale (très fort en alcool pour le style) est bien respecté. Produit original, bon, chaleureux. Je recommande à tous les amateurs avertis de ce style obscur et sucré. Bonne dégustation ! Cheers!
