COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Équinoxe du Printemps (French for "spring equinox") is the quintessential marriage of two great traditions: beer brewing in Scotland, and maple syrup production in Quebec. At the first draught, the mouth is overcome by woody, malty flavours, sustained by a discrete touch of sweetness. The aftertaste brings about the flavours of maple, which are sufficiently present to be appreciated, but never overwhelming the typical flavours of a Scotch Ale.

Equinoxe du printemps is brewed only once a year in January. It is aged for two months in order to attain a perfect balance in taste. Then, it is sold starting March 21st, until stocks last.

Pours a cloudy deep brown with tan accents and medium tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, alcohol, slight tartness, and caramel. Flavor matches with the addition of slight sweetness, maple syrup, but then it’s dominated by the taste of raisins and cinnamon. Taste lingers longer than I would like with a not so pleasant aftertaste

Brune aux reflets orangées, trouble, avec un col moyen de mousse beige. Nez caramélisé, de sirop d’érable et légèrement de malt grillé. Goût alcoolisé, de rôtie et de sucre d’érable.

Bottle to glass. Pours murky brown with almost no head. What is there dies quickly. Aroma is chewy with some munich type malt dustiness. Taste is a blend of alcohol and chewy malt with some sweet maple character. Quite tasty

Bottle. Pours a cloudy dark brown color with small head. Aroma of malt, dark fruit and wood. Taste of malt, dark fruit and maple syrup in the background. Slightly tart bitterness and a dry finish. Fairly light body, just a hint of booze with a nice touch of maple syrup. Interesting beer for the style.
