750ml bottle shared with Jo. Aroma: ripe apples and a tad of blackberries. App: hazy dark pink, purple-ish with orange tint. Taste and palate: thin body, moderate carbonation, medium acidity / vinegar finish. Overall: more fruits in mouth and carbonation than the regular version and more acidity coming from blackberries. Enjoyed it more than the regular version.

Just lovely. A very delicate and wine esque brew. Pours a light plum and pink colour in the body with a thin, spritzy off white head with a solid carbonation in the body. The nose is fruity, lightly tannic and funky with brett and farm notes filling the aroma. Soft brettanomyces with a light fruity sweetness and tart, sour lacto notes. The front of the profile is delicate with a light creamy and fruit note; plums, raspberries and grapes. The finish has a pinch of bitterness with a lingering sourness in moderation. Barrel flavour is well melded in with a delicious profile overall. One of the best beers ever from DDC!

Draught (6%) @ Lambic Foeder. Rated on 25.06.2015
Aroma has earthy tones, some cherry juice, tart notes and hints of fruit candy. Kriek-like. Flavour has aggressive sourness, woody tones, tart cherry juice and mild milky tones. Would not be able to tell this from a kriek lambic.

250 ml. draft @ Chez Moeder Lambic Fontainas. Dark red fruit, big candy deep pink head, quickly fizzing away. Nose is big sour fruit, hugely fruity, faintly puckering, big prunes, light strawberry, red fruits, Vitamin C & plaster. Taste is spritz sour, light lemon, candy, puckering red fruit, big on lemon sourness, light juice, odd finish reminiscent of glue, plaster, grapefruit & red grape soda, Vitamin C, candy, puckering, light mold, red fruit,… Pleasant basic sour with some odd lingering mold & glue flavors, big basic lemon juice sourness,… Body is dry plaster that coats your mouth, lemon juice & light plastic.

750 ml bottle purchased at Dieu du Ciel Saint-Jérôme at the pub’s 7th anniversary party on January 31, 2015. Hazy reddish gold. thin head. Tarte blackberry aroma, light malted wheat notes. Far more tarte taste, some sweetness with notes of sparkling citrus, nice sour finish. As good as the original version!
