A golden ale with a thick white head. In aroma, a nice sour cherry mix with epsom salts and berries, nice and smooth. In mouth, a nice sour ale with cork, cherries, acetic acid, nice and smooth. On tap at La Cuvée, March 3 2013.

In short: A very tart wheaty blond beer with farmhouse funk. Very good.
How: Bottle 22oz, split three-way at the brewpub on the day of the beer release.
The look: Almost clear light blond body with almost no head.
In long: Nose is rather farmhouse-wild with a pedio-ish sensation over a wheaty tartness. Taste is dry and crisp wheat with a pleasant freshness, strong farmhouse funk sensation, medium lemony tartness, medium acidity, mild sourness. Medium body with low carbonation. This beer basically tasted like a cranked-up Berliner Weisse with a stronger farmhouse character than usual. Pretty good beer that could have been excellent with a more lively body/carbonation. This is my 100th rating of a DDC beer!!! What a achievement. And to all my many ratebeer friends who want to send me an beermail just to congratulate me I say “get off the damn ratebeer, go outside and have a life!”, I’ll still be here on ratebeer when you come back.

Big bottle provided by Hoser and shared with a few lads playing poker, smoking cigars and waiting for hockey. Dry and more tart than sour. Kind of a sour light. Proof that beer can be elegant and taste complex.

750mL bottle at the Dieu du Ciel 14th anniversary party, split with Glouglouburp. Pours a hazy yellow with a small ring of white head. Aroma is tart and wheaty, with a lemon tang, lots of wheat and some white grapes. Flavour is very dry and quite tart, with dry white wine, wheat, some wild yeasts and a very subtle tartness. Quite complex and refreshingly tart. Excellent stuff.
