3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
4th October 2014
Hazy orange - gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is smooth and fairly dry. Fine carbonation. Mildly creamy malts, dry cream. Bitter yeasty floralness. Nice touch of orange - tangerine and a trace of crystallised fruits. Finishes dry and bitter. Nice fruits but the bitter yeasty floralness is annoying.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Keg at BD CJ - London. Pours mostly clear yellow-gold with a frothy white head. Pleasant aroma with notes of pale bread, tangerine, melon, perhaps kumquat. Medium sweet flavor with some pale biscuits, hay, lemon rind, more melon, faint grass. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Decent balance on the finish, some floral hops, rindy citrus, more biscuity pale malts, husky grains. Decent.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap at Wvrst. Golden-amber pour with a thick white head. The aroma is quite citrusy - orange/lemon and a bit of soft hoppy spice. Clean malt profile and an assertive bitterness. Clean and tasty.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
My Bottom Line:
Slender honeyed malts are basking in tropical fruit before resinous hops seal this smooth, velvety Fruited IPA creation.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sheet of foam protects the shiny blond haze. Sun shining through morning mist.
-The kumquats and hops are perfectly harmonious.
-Drinkability is quite high.
-Resinous bitterness is moderate but just.
On tap at the brewpub.
