Drank on tap (8 oz) at ther Montreal brewpub on May 29, 2013. Honey amber, medium head. Kumquats and sweet aroma of hops, very mild. Taste of dried kumquats, slightly hoppy, very dry bitterness. Too intense and I’m not a fan of disco!

Drank on tap (12 oz) at the brewpub on February 10, 2013. Honey blonde little head. Hoppy aroma kumquats (note: I do not know this fruit so I assume), a little juicy. Dry citrus taste with hints of green hops, fresh bitter herbs. I want to taste some kumquats!

Pours cloudy straw yellow and frothy white top. Aroma is citrus, grapefruit and pine hops. Taste is dry, citrus and grapefruit hop bitterness. Well balanced but it’s amazing how it just dries out the palate.

Bottle: Poured a bright golden/orangey color ale with a rather large white head with good retention and some great lacing. Aroma of huge floral hops notes is quite the treat with nice tangerine and citrus notes. Taste is also dominated by huge flora hoppy notes with some citrus and tangerine flavors and some light residual sugar notes. Kumquats are not as noticeable as I would have expected but than gain not sure I could recognize Kumquats that easily. Body is about average with good carbonation. Great summer IPA and something I would switch back and forth with Moralité.

Bottle from iga A: earthy notes, with some fruits, citrusy, orange marmalade. App: hazy golden white head. T/p: thin to med body moderate bitter finish with a touch of acidity. O: great. Not a big fan of fruit addition in beer but got to admit I enjoyed this fine brew. Don’t expect an in your face ipa more a sessionable one.

Bottle 341 ml. Bought at Grange du marché (Montréal). Pours beautiful golden with medium white head (nearly fully diminishing) and some lacing. Aroma is mostly about citrus (kumquat?), plus hops, herbal notes and malt. Taste is the same. Very fruity at first, but strong bitterness in the end. Refreshing and drinkable. A very good summer IPA.

Pours a orange golden color with a finger of white gaseous foam. Lots of earthy fruit on the nose with light toasted malts and some complex citrusy notes. The palate follows with lots of strange fruit, citrus rind and clean malts playing the leading roll. Linger tannic tea like flavors linger with hints of tangerine and floral grass.

341ml bottle from Monde des Bières.
Appearance : Slightly hazy pale yellow with small head. Minimal lacing. A bit unusual for such a hoppy beer.
Aroma : Herbal and floral hops. Slightly wet hops. Light notes of agave or a similar vegetal profile.
Taste : Fruity and floral with light passion fruits. Finish fairly resinous and piny with light oily notes. Fruity with floral notes. Some malt throughout. Fairly spicy finish.
Palate : Fairly fizzy carbonation with medium body. Finish slightly dry.
Overall : Interesting IPA. Nice hop aroma. Fairly different from the usual hops. Nicely fruity and citrusy. Good but nothing outstanding.
