COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Grande Noirceur is an intensely black and dense beer with pronounced roasted flavours. The bitterness is very imposing but is balanced by a malty-caramel taste. The alcohol content is quite high, but its presence remains discrete in this beer.

ABV initially 8.5%, changed in late 2012 to 9%.

Deep dark coulor. Nice head not lasting long. The aroma is a bit less pronounced than in other stout. Very good taste of dark chocolate and torrified malts, nice alcohol taste. Quite light body in mouth. Beautiful stout to taste

341ml bottle from Systembolaget, vintage 2015. Black with a beige creamy dense head, leving good lacing around the glass. Rich aroma, roasted barley, smoke, tobacco, chocolate and licorice. Creamy, soft and rounded mouthfeel, full-bodied, mildly carbonated. Creamy malty taste, coffee, chocolate, smoky and chalky, lakris and peppery notes. Long warming finish.

Pours black with light brown head. Aroma is strong, fills every corner in the room. Fruits, vanilla, coffee, raisin, some smoke, beacon, dried sausages, plums, light tobacco. Taste is coffee, vanilla, tobacco, oily, smoke, dark bitter chocolate, dried fruits, cigar, mild sweet beacon. After taste is very smoky, itchy feeling in the throat, some dark coffee and chocolate as well. ABV gives a warm way down. Excellent and super beer!

341 ml bottle, bottled on 2015-10-29, from Saveur Bière. Thanks to Werckmeister!
Pitch black body, with a medium, dense, lacing, dark coffee-colored head.
Aroma of coffee, tobacco, cocoa, dark chocolate, dark fruits, vanilla, some liquorice, some smoke.
Tastes of espresso, dark chocolate, tobacco, dark fruits, cocoa powder, liquorice, some vanilla, ash.
Full, cream mouthfeel, with a moderate carbonation.
Finishes smooth, roasty, dry, medium bitter, with coffee, tobacco, liquorice, wood, subtle smoke.

Tasty. Strong, dense and complex, but also smooth at the same time. Really well balanced, with enough sweetness to balance the roasty-bitter notes. Wonderful Imperial Stout how I like it, while still not among my favourite style exmples.

Kaffe, soja, toffee. Stor beska och välrostade espressotoner. Kärv imperial stout, riktigt fin beska som stramar upp sötman fint. Påminner lite om vanliga Yeti. Riktigt bra, och kaxig för att vara 9%.

A black beer, a head is quite small and light brown. Aroma has sal liquirice, chocolate, some salt and meat. The great aroma. Taste is powerful. Salt liquirice, roastiness, coffee, herbal bitterness is quite strong. Medium+ bodied, smooth. The great and powerful beer, salt liquiricy.

Heavy smell of coffee, black malt and dark chocolate. The taste is too heavy. Licorice, dark chocolate, soy, dark coffee and black malts. Heavy bitterness that fills the mouth forever. Good beer but feel I would like to have it a little sweeter. Follow me @ Kung av öl @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings.
