3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Wonderful stout with a nice thick yet smooth palette. It tastes better as you let it sit out for a while. Highly recommended. Another great beer from Dieu du Ciel.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle from Bine & Vine. Pours dark brn/blk with a slight dark tan head that didnít last long. Aroma is very dark malt with a hint of anise. Full bodied. Flavor is bitter dark malt. Still getting something suggesting anise. Also very dark bitter chocolate. Thereís a huge amount of malt, but it is so bitter that itís not very sweet. All in all this is a dark bitter and extremely tasty beer, tho perhaps a tad challenging. Good stuff.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours inky and black with a medium brown head, good retention, very fine lacing. Aromas of coffee, dark chocolate, some fruity notes, maybe pineapple, toast, and pine. Full chewy body, velvety, dry. Mildly sweet, mild citrus, with a creeping medium bitter finish. A little boozy. This would probably age well.

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
(12 oz bottle) - Scant dark tan head. Black opaque body. Aroma of black strap molasses and brown sugars. Rap thick body. Heavy flavors from roasted malt, which lingers on the tongue for quite some time. Surprising carbonation amount, to the betterment. Yet another top notch beer from this Canadian gem of a brewpub!

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Dark black body, lots of foamy lasting brown head, some large bubbles and lacing, very attractive. Very roasty aroma. Taste is somewhat bitter at first, then changes to lactose before finishing with more bitterness. Abv well masked. Lovely imperial stout.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
So, how many massive imperial stouts can you drink in one night? Letís find out! Also I think Incubus is really a working-class band.... not serious artists, but they deliver what they intend to. Is that necessarily a bad thing? Do we need to see genius in everything? So this pours black like tar with only a modest bit of dark beige head. The aroma is alcoholic barley kind of bolstered by a bit of carbonation, some roasted coffee in there too but soft. The flavour is a lot of sugary sweetness with barley thrown in, chocolately goodness, a gooey chocolate cake experience and icing too. Itís a strong contender in the over-alcoholized stout section but I wish it had more complexity. Drinkable however and a few of these will definitely knock you down in no time.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Thank you Kbudd-what a wonderful bonus! Black pour w/ a dark brown head. Aroma is roasted malt, chocolate/cocoa. Taste is roasted malt, char, dry, chalky. Such a tasty beer. Without sounding greedy- I want more. OK lacing. The beer clung to the side of the glass. This beer is worth moving to Canada for.
