Draught at Mondial de la Bière 2012, June 8. Pours a clear pale gold with a small lasting frothy white head. Aroma is slightly vegetal (in a good way -- peas?), a bit herbal, a bit tart and grassy. Refreshing flavour of pale malt, citrus fruit, herbs and light hops. Average to medium bodied. Nothing out of this world, just nice palate cleanser and a joy to drink.

Clear golden pour, rocky white head. Floral, grassy hops. Cereal malts. Very clean, crisp, and refreshing. Nothing fancy but very well made.

On tap at Wvrst. Pours a clear golden colour with small white head. Fruity, grainy and grassy aroma. Taste has pleasant lightly sweet fruity character, lightly toasty grains and mild grassy/herbal bitterness. Fine carbonation. Nice.

2012-06-08. Dark yellow body with a small white head. Pale malt, light alcohol, mild cereally grain character. 6+ Flavour is similar, cereally pale malt, very light bitterness, light alcohol presence. 6+ Average plus bodied palate. Okay. Bright golden color, with a fluffy white head, nice honeyed grainy cereal biscuity, toasted, pale, pilsner malt nose with a mild breadiness, light herbal floral citrusy hop note in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a crisp honeyish crunchy, grainy, toasty, biscuity, caramel, pale malt, mild flowery leafy, grassy hop character, with some juicy hay sweetness flavours, leading towards a fruity maltiness, lingering leafy, grassy hop bittering finish.

Appearance : Perfectly clear pale yellow with nice creamy white head.
Aroma : Awesome chewy malts with great citrusy hops. Nice herbal notes. Wow the malt is just stunning.
Taste : Awesome malt with light citrusy and herbal notes. Chewy and biscuity malt. Malt is quite persistent on the finish.
Overall : Wow, this is perfect lager love. First off the look is just outstanding. Perfectly clear with a gorgeous foamy white head. Malt is just perfect all around and the subdued hop profile let it shine at will. Highly quaffable with the great malty finish that immediately calls up for another gulp. Very clean and sharp. Very elegant. The Kolsch Basse Messe was already a favorite but this one tops it off. Easily the best Helles I’ve ever had. I still need to have this one or two (dozen) times to be sure though ;)

Draft at brewhouse. Color; very light golden color with a slight skunky aroma. Taste was quite light in body compared to what I was expecting. Very easy drinking session beer ... not as good as many of the German hellas but a great option closer to home
