In short: A sweet-fruity and floral-herbal clean Belgian blond ale.
How: Tap at brewpub.
The look: Clear pale-golden body topped by a small white head leaving lots of lacings on the glass.
In long: Nose blends light floral and herbal hops with fruity yeast esters (pears, bananas, apricots) and a certain sweetness sensation. Tastes has crackery pale malts a bit on the sweet side, sweet fruits of all kinds (like canned fruits), sweet watermelons, sweet banana peels, a good amount of floral/herbal hops, soapy/rose water notes. Soft bitterness. Pleasant full foamy mouhtfeel with lots of small soft bubbles. A well brewed beer, pleasant array of flavors but just not refreshing enough, probably a little too sweet for what I want from a beer like this one. Not bad but not for me. And after multiple failed relationships, constant money problems and a career going nowhere I’m beginning to think that my local brewpubs may not have my best interests at heart.

A blonde Belgian ale with a thick lacing off white head. In aroma, a nice herbal and fruity malt with light curacao, very Belgian. In mouth, a nice smooth fruity malt with light treacle, orange pulp, almonds, nice and silky. On tap at DDC, Feb. 22 2013.

(2 mars 2013)
