On tap at the Dieu du Ciel 14th anniversary party, pours black with a big foamy tan head. Aroma of burnt dark fruits, some red wine notes and slight char. Flavour is very complex, with complex red wine notes and some burnt dark fruits. The barrels make this exquisitely complex waaay better than the regular Isseki Nicho. Excellent stuff.

[4221-20111231] Bottle. Sweet roasted nut grain aroma has a bit of chocolate cocoa. Black body with a long-lasting creamy tan head. Cocoa roasted wood nut flavour has a long bitter coffee finish. Full body is bitterly balanced. Delicious, impressive. (8/4/8/4/16) 4.0
