I dont know about this one. Tastes like loose change and charcoal. Ashy metallic and harsh without any real saison flavors as advertised.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours and looks like an imperial stout of about that abv, so not oily and dense. Yeast flavor is subtle and rounds out some of the Roasty oiliness that would otherwise be present and showcased, so a very mild and delightful stout with slight yeastiness and the abv packs a punch.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Brewdog. Don’t think I’ve had an Imperial Dark Saison before…Black with a big foamy tan head, some lacing. Smell - bubblegum, lemon, sweet cherry malts, lots of alcohol coming through. Body is medium, very foamy. Taste - toned down malts, ash, some lime maybe. Sharp, salty and some alcohol coming through, yeast. Sorachi ace?? OK.

Poured dark brown with a small creamy beige head. Roasted grainy aroma with a freaky fresh fruity character. Sweet based, roasted flavor, fruity yeasts with some tarty wood. Burnt aftertaste with some spicy-salty mouthfeel. Interesting, fruity, exciting.
