Bottle at DDC 10th anniversary party. Pours a hazed orange copper with no head. Aroma is more acetic acid, vinegar, with sharp old woody earthy cranberry with mineral lacto, prickly pear, and some soy and meaty oxidation. Flavor is bright fruit, sharp acidity, acetic acid, apple cider vinegar, raw full on acidity, some stale funky cheese, Flemish red- lambic hybrid almost but all the acids are out of whack. Too sour for me just like the others.

Cloudy orangey golden color with no head. Interesting aroma of cranberries and potent acidity. The flavor is funky and acid with cranberries.

In short: A weird fruity acidic and dry kind-of-lambic. Quite drinkable.
How: Bottle 375ml. Given to me at brewpub 10th anniversary party and drank a few months later home
The look: Partly cloudy golden orange body with almost no head
In long: Nose is musty, old attic, a tiny bit funky, light fruity notes. Taste is relatively soft compared to the other DDC fruit lambecs. Fruity flavours are not focussed on a single fruit, I was getting apricots, citrus, cranberries and even some oranges. The fruity attack quickly turns into acidity leading to a tart and dry finish. Carbonation is soft, body is juicy. I don’t know if it was the few months I waited to drink this one but it was a lot more mellow than the two other DDC fruity Lambecs. I was unable to drink a 375ml by myself of Lambec Cherries and Lambec Raspberries but I went through a bottle of this one without any problem. By far the most drinkable of the three but for some reason I found myself missing the extreme acidic character of the two other ones. I guess I’m just one of those guys that likes to be smacked in the face… and also spanked on the ass while wearing a baby diaper.

DDC. Huge sour cherry malty vinegar, like puzzl said almost vile in the nose. Acidic with very light Cranberry fruit. Pass.

Bottle at the DDC 10th Anniversary Party. Here we go again. Unlike the cherry which smelled ok but was undrinkably bad, this one smells bad but tastes pretty good. Very cloudy pink pour. Vile chemicals dominate the aroma, lots of drano and such. The flavor is a warm, sweaty cranberry, with a full body and nice acid. Not too bad. I’d rather something that smell bad and taste good than the opposite.

UPDATED: SEP 25, 2008 My Bottom Line:
This vigorous P-Lambic offers funky fruitiness sweeping into portentous acetic acidity for a very dry and very puckering ending.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A ring of big bubbles circles the muddy pale amber.
-Like their other lambic experiments, this smells quite authentic.
-The fruitiness is as much redolent of white grapes as it showcases cranberries.
-The aroma was more fun than the overly intense flavor profile. My esophagus was burning after a few sips.

Bottle at the brewpub.

(Rating #1958)

375mL bottle @ DDC 10th Anniversary Party. Pours a pale, peachy color; thin, off-white head formation. Slightly minty, medicinal, funky fruit aroma; minty, dry, funky, and very odd. Medium mouthfeel: high levels of acidity; minty and herbal notes; cranberry stems, high acidity and tartness, soapy lemon; very odd, funky messy lambic; cranberry, but slightly. Medium mouthfeel: light red fruits, herbal notes, and mint; lingering citrus tartness.
