UPDATED: MAY 22, 2015 Orange gold pour. Sizeable white head. Tropical fruit, nectarine, honey, yeast, lemon zest in aroma and taste. Yeasty, and the mouthfeel and carbonation are spot on.

Bottle. Orange-gold, thick white head.My God I’ve had some shit beers out at the lake this weekend, so I am really vibrating to try this.It smells amazing: lots of tropical fruit and spicy yeast. This is a dense palate of flavours: the fresh fruit is spectacular, and adds depth and character to what could otherwise be syrup sweetness-- lots of fresh pineapple, nectarine, guava, but it’s more than that.. The yeast is pillowy soft, yet the mouthfeel is heavy, and somehow the whole profile stays bright and balanced and dangerously drinable at 10+%. Estery spice with white pepper dryness ending the parade of flavours before a surprisingly bitter finish ends it all off. I loved this beer. I’m no true style judge, but this hit all the numbers for me in a way that a tripel hasn’t in a long time.

Draft sample at THE FESTIVAL with Andrew. Dieu du ciel! was definitely one of the best overall tables at the event. Pours a hazy golden orange amber body with nice carbonated head. Aroma is sweet Belgian yeast, citrus fruit, fresh citrus hops, resin and pine. Mouthfeel is full and refreshing with notes of fresh citrus, pineapple, passion fruit, citrus hops and Belgian yeast. I’m really not a huge fan of abbey triples but the American pale fresh and zesty aspect of this guy really made it unique. Additionally, +10% abv? Wow.

This thing is a work of art! Pours a beautiful cloudy golden with a nice big frothy white top. Aroma of big citrus, yeast, bread and passion fruit. Taste is a great dry citrus hop bitter snap on the palate, softened with the sweet passion fruit and finally backed by the soft yeast bready notes. I need to find more of this.

Passion fruit, citrus hops and a slight resin aroma open things up. Amber orange hazy liquid that add a nice head for the first 5 minute. Sweet, long palate with well presented hops. Perfect Belgian yeast American Pale Ale ! Wait, it’s a Belgian Tripel.... 10,2% ?? No way. Great beer, great idea, ugly label. A solid 4.1/5.

Ok amber lightly cloudy after the swirl. I plan on chugging this like it really matters. Quickly: mellow belg qualities with the spice etc and the oh-so-obvious citra dose to treat and confuse the nose. Fruity yeast spice and alcohol, peaches- decent. Whoa - Danny Garcia just layed the beats own to Khan - awesome!!! Pretty nice taste - mellow to a point and, yea, starting to love this more and more - growing on me like a soft mold. I wish this was a bigger bottle.... or just another bottle. So smooth with the faint spice until the end where the bitterness piles on a bit but not too much. This is a well put together beer. Sharp tasty grapefruit and peaches, almost chewy. Has a long bitter hardness that rolls on. Nice.

Cloudy beige with a big, rocky head. The aroma is flowery, almost to the point of being perfumey, with light yuzu and phenolic, spicy yeast character. Sweetish up front but then yeastiness and dryness start to take over. Nice brew, and the assertive hopping keeps the sweetish elements of the tripel from overwhelming..

On tap at The Festival in Worcester, session 1. This beer was awesome. Juicy and tropical fruit gives way to doughy spice. So quenching and delicious- making it quite dangerous.

12 oz. bottle, pours a cloudy semi-dark orange with a small white head. Nose is quite hoppy for a tripel, with floral hops, some Belgian spices, dough, biscuit and citrus. Flavour of honey sweetness above anything, apricots, citrus fruits, biscuit, and flowers. Finishes semi-sweet and on the flowers note, with a slight lingering bitterness. Unorthodox tripel, with some unusual notes. Enjoyable.
