3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draught at the DDC Brewpub, Montréal, QC.
Amber cloudy colour with small creamy off-white head.
English style floral fruity hops in bitter aroma.
Bitter fruity flavour with darker notes and heavy bitterness. Dry woody malty. Bitterness stays. Very creamy.
Cask at the DDC Brewpub, Montréal, QC.
Amber colour with no head.
Creamy fruity peachy aroma. Woody nutty malty flavour with dry bitter hops and fruitiness. Dry. Liked the draft version just a little more.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Decent, not great. Nice, hoppy aroma but fairly understated when actually consumed. Good mouthfeel from the nitro tap; unusual for the style. It’s an interesting take on an IPA but not my favourite.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tap sample at DDC. Amber with a nice cream tan head. Very smooth hops, some herbs and fruit. Mild bitterness, bit of sweetness, then grows progressively more bitter....mmmmmm....nice and dry finish. Great hoppy beer without overdoing it.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Orange citrus, floral and caramel notes to the aroma. Hazy/opaque tan-brown body is topped by a decent and long lasting, large bubbled, off white head that leaves scant lace. Flavour follows aroma with some tea-lime tannins and a fairly pronounced bitterness. Medium body with smooth texture and fair carbonation. Sampled on cask at the brewpub.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft. orange amber pour with some light head. Herbal, fruit and light floral aroma. Body leaves something to wish for. Flavor is probably been through some oxidation, light herbal spice and fruit tones, are modest and seem compromised.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Tap at the brewery. Great beer, very different. Aromas of caramel, and flowers. Taste is sweet, with bitter notes, and a long finish. Palate is creamy, and medium bodied. Amber, with a pillow head.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft. Pours an amber body with a hazy off white head. Sweet and fruity with a dry fruit toned finish. A big body creamy, not so much thick as it is full. Hints of apricots. Overall the hop tones are far from bright, rather dust y and taking on more of a floral note. I could understand feeling a bit of oxidation here as well.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Has a hoppy aroma, but nothing else. Decent head and a foggy orange body. Flavour is lots of hops - a simple flavour. It’s a slightly below average brew for this style, but overall a decent IPA.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tap at BT. Pours a light hazed bright amber and a medium thick sticky creamy white head. Aroma is earth, leather, toast, older citrusy hops, light grass and some slight vege notes. Flavor is creamy- almost a wheaty doughy hint, then light corn, bread, toasted malts, light paper and mineral with some decent hops- seems a bit old slight stale oxidation setting in just a bit which gives a very slight astringency in the end. Ok.
