Interesting idea. But wasn’t as flavorful and hoppy as had hoped for the IPA component. Cream ale seemed to dominate. But my palate may have been skewed, because I’d tried some stronger tasting beers first.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Dieu du Ciel, Montreal tap: Pours nitro with a cascading light brown body forming a nice and creamy head. Aroma is somewhat hoppy, but the maltiness stands out the most. Taste is on the sweet and malty side, but with a hoppy undertone. This is a malty beer first and brings in the IPA element second in my opinion. Good, but I am glad I just sampled my friend’s.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a hazy golden color with a finger of sudsy white foam. Nice round creamy mouthfeel, rustic grain, citrus peel, floral hay and a lingering bitterness that works nicely with the full round creamy mouthfeel !

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Appearance is coppery rust with a thick, slightly off-white head.
Aromas are subdued citrus and caramel.
Very creamy mouth feel.
Tastes of caramel malts and light fruit although not really in the citrus realm.
Overall I like it but in the lower echelon of beers from this brewer.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On cask at Beaus Oktoberfest. Big pine and pineapple aroma with promise of caramel and toast. Faint raisin note. Almost clear bronze with no top. Flavour is a blast of pine and grapefruit peel with assertive bitterness and spicy caramel melanoidin. Medium body, low to moderate carbonation, lingering bitterness.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tap: Poured a creamy golden color ale with a large pure white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of citrus and bitter hoppy notes with semi-sweet malt notes. Taste is dominated by creamy citrus and bitter hoppy notes with a relatively dry finish. Body has a nice creamy touch to it which differentiates it from the other IPA out there. Interesting take on the style.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bonne texture, malt dominant et houblons en appuie, mangue surtout. L’amertume est tranchante mais raisonnable, agréable sécheresse. Clairement unique.

On tap @ L’Hermite (Victoriaville). Clear amber with a medium creamy white head and some lacing. Aroma is of piney hops and malt, nothing really intense but still quite interesting. Taste is slight sweet with resinous notes, slight citrus, malt/caramel, earthy notes and slight bitter finish. Creamy mouthfeel. Dry. Medium body. Good hoppy cream ale. Interesting and refreshing. Good drinkability.
