Interesting idea. But wasn’t as flavorful and hoppy as had hoped for the IPA component. Cream ale seemed to dominate. But my palate may have been skewed, because I’d tried some stronger tasting beers first.

On cask at Beaus Oktoberfest. Big pine and pineapple aroma with promise of caramel and toast. Faint raisin note. Almost clear bronze with no top. Flavour is a blast of pine and grapefruit peel with assertive bitterness and spicy caramel melanoidin. Medium body, low to moderate carbonation, lingering bitterness.

Tap: Poured a creamy golden color ale with a large pure white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of citrus and bitter hoppy notes with semi-sweet malt notes. Taste is dominated by creamy citrus and bitter hoppy notes with a relatively dry finish. Body has a nice creamy touch to it which differentiates it from the other IPA out there. Interesting take on the style.

On tap @ L’Hermite (Victoriaville). Clear amber with a medium creamy white head and some lacing. Aroma is of piney hops and malt, nothing really intense but still quite interesting. Taste is slight sweet with resinous notes, slight citrus, malt/caramel, earthy notes and slight bitter finish. Creamy mouthfeel. Dry. Medium body. Good hoppy cream ale. Interesting and refreshing. Good drinkability.

Pours a cloudy dark gold color with a medium, creamy, white head. Aroma of resinous hops and pine needles. Good flavor of resinous and piney hops with toasted malt and a bitter finish that lasts a while. The body is light with a creamy texture and soft carbonation.

12oz glass on tap at the Underground Tap and Grill pours a dusky honey color with a creamy white head which dissipates in a few minutes. Aroma is pleasant but can’t quite identify.Taste is fruity and malty sweetness somewhat spicy mild piney-ness to it. Light to medium body with moderate carbonation. Overall, I enjoyed it.

12oz glass on tap at the Underground Tap and Grill pours a pale amber color with a finger of white head which settles to reveal some thin spotty lacing. Aroma is light citrus and caramel with some other aromas that I can’t get a hold on. Taste is fruity and malty sweetness with a dry citrusy bitterness. Light to medium body with moderate carbonation. Overall, an interesting IPA with unique flavors that should be sampled.

On tap at underground. Orangy reddish I think. Wonderful red candy, sweet, caramel, orange, honey, what else.... This just smells unlike anything else I’ve ever had. Fruity flavour, dry and bitter, creamy, unknown everything, weak spice. No idea what is going on. Get this. It’s awesome.
