Half-pint on cask at the brew pub. The aroma is mild with light toast, and light toffee sweetness. Not much else happening in the nose. Transparent amber body with a creamy, foamy, cream-colored head. Starts with a light spicy, herbal hoppiness. Becomes a little sweet in the middle with some mild husky tannins present. Light astringency. Herbal, bitter finish. A little too hoppy for a mild, and the astringency is off-putting.

(Rating #4125)
