Bottle, thnx to Duffman. 2010 vintage. Pours a murky brown beer with a small off white head on top. Aroma has massive vineous notes, grapes and loads of other red fruits going on. Flavor is very sweet, boozy and very vineous again. Loads of Port notes and mellowed out alcohol. Definitely can taste the age on this one. Soft carbonation going, medium short, sweet aftertaste. Could be a bit thicker but overall a very nice quad.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a mostly clear chestnut with garnet highlights, a small almost tan head and little lacing. Aroma is sweet and fruity with cherry candy, red apple peel, some brown sugar and a hint of booze. Taste is initially quite sweet and follows nose with the cherry and apple peel fruitiness, along with some molasses. Becomes drier midway through with a malt component that straddles toasty and roasty. Has earthy and spicy flavors in the aftertaste along with a bit if alcohol that also provides some warming. Finishes semi dry with a light lingering spiciness. Body is light with moderate carbonation. Drinkable despite the higher ABV. The sweet malt flavors balance with the fruit and spices from the yeast making this unique and enjoyable. Would try again but would be best with food. Maybe a cherry tart.
