| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Jan 5, 2010 Bottle. It pours an unclear, dark brown body with a finger-thick, creamy, beige head that disappears too quickly. Nice lacings left. Dark sugars, booze-soaked raisins, prunes, alcohol and a spiced note. A little hint of chocolate too. Sweet, full-bodied and warming in a very pleasant way. Smooth as hell, and at the end it dries up quite a bit. Dried fruits, dark sugars, some cellar, a booze hint and some bitterness in the flavor. A really wonderful beer ranging from sweet to dry and bitter in a fine way. 100105 GreatLibations (1470), Last Supper, Arizona, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Jan 3, 2010 Pours old worn bronze color w/ a decent head that doesn’t hang around long. Smells of stonefruit and cakebread. Medium nectar w/ superb carbonation expanding on the palate. Mildly sweet w/ flavors of dried stone fruit, raisins, a hint of cocoa. A hikers lunch box in liquid form. Theres a bittering component that surfaces and lingers creating balance as well as a defined tartness. The finish lingers. KimJohansen (7308), Copenhagen V, Denmark

Aroma is sweet doughy malts and fig. Alcohol is def there but is pretty tame for the percentage.. Relatively full but not intense flavors of dark fruits, caramel, yeast. fiulijn (7520), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 30, 2009 Dark amber color, hazy; generous head. The aroma has fruity yeast, fudge and dirty water; for the good or for the bad, the aroma is not persistent. The body is quite strong, surely with character; it has caramel flavor, with just a minimal residual sweetness, but at least with a respectable degree of sugar stickiness. The bitterness is decisive, and high for a Belgian style; actually in the end it’s possible to perceive some more roasted malts and the alcohol punch. Another drinkable but unimpressive offer from Dieu du Ciel, not able to provide emotions. Have to try it aged one year. Frovigalning (472), , Sweden
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Dec 30, 2009 It poured a hazy dark amber liquid with a small dirty white foam.
It had a strong smell of yeast, druied fruit, wood and an alcoholic finish that I relate to brandy.
The mouthfeel was very smooth and creamy, felt nice in my mouth. The high alcohol made it feel dry though and a bit stingy on the tip of my tounge. It had a thick body and a low bitterness. The flavour was quite strong and the most noticable where dried fruit, yeast, something sweet and an alcoholic finnish.
A very good and interesting beer, maybe a bit to alcoholic but besides that I have no complaints. The alcohol wasn’t that intence it was mostly something I felt after taking a sip. Definitely a beer that is worth it’s money gator2683 (143), Anchorage, Alaska, USA
