Tmoney99 (3545), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA May 17, 2008 Bottle from River’s Bend. Poured hazy reddish color with an average frothy white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Deep floral, fruity and spice aroma. Medium body with a dry texture. Medium sweet & sour flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderated duration. Refreshing complex beer.
BOLTZ7555 (463), Phoenix, Arizona, USA Sep 5, 2008 Hmmm...soft salmon-colored tightly packed head sits above a murky pink sapphire body. Aroma is floral, mildly sweet, and grassy. Flavor is somewhat spicy, fruity, and the wheat backbone is definitely there. Interesting. Magjayran (1118), Durham, North Carolina, USA Sep 4, 2008 Holy shit this beer is beautiful. One of the most gorgeous red colors I’ve ever seen in an ale. The aroma is neat, sweet and sort of grapey. The flavor......ehhh. Sweet. Hints of grape skin. Dries out at the end. Just not something I dig. It’s unique so it gets some points for that but I don’t want to drink this ever again. smartlung (145), Valrico, Florida, USA Aug 30, 2008 can definately taste the florals - murky and lightly red with viirtually not head - enjoyed it but would prefer more if I could taste the alcohol. edden (913), cow- lumbus, Ohio, USA Aug 30, 2008 8/30/08: Bottle. Murky rose-brown body with a quickly dissipating white head. No lace. Aroma is very refreshing and clean - predominantly wheat with notes of fruit (peach and melon), spice and grass. Flavor is delicate, light and smooth - wheat, florals. Sour and acidic finish. kmweaver (2010), Takoma Park, Maryland, USA Aug 29, 2008 12oz bottle, courtesy of ryan. Thanks! Pours a bright, slightly red-raspberry color; very light pink head with fine-bubbled lacing. Loads of soft, generous floral notes in the aroma; white pepper, soft honey and ginger. Lively carbonation. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: lots of sweet sugar, floral notes, white pepper, and spicing upfront; overly sweet altogether, and lacking some of the legitimate complexity and clarity expressed in the nose; white pepper and ginger at the periphery. Decent, but slightly muddled and sweet. Lengthy finish: toasty malts, floral notes, and honey; plenty of white pepper.
